Rooms falling apart, rude staff when asked to move. In the middle of nowhere. Restaurant dirty, shortage of staff meant tables left in a mess. More rude staff in restaurant. Linen not changed during the course of a week. Ants everywhere, even in clothes drawers so had to keep everything up high. Worst of all are the scores of rude Russians who have absolutely no manners at all.

Extra charge for a safe, air conditioning and use of fridge. Rip off. Not recommended. Cant believe this was advertised as 4 star... absolute joke!

We are currently staying at this hotel and can't wait to get home! It is not a 4 star more like a 2 star. The all inclusive is a rip off as you can only have Raki, Ouzo, brandy, cheap wine or beer in small plastic cups, you can't even get a bottle of water! The food is shockingly bad and never hot, we have dreaded every mealtime and most people have eaten out which you don't expect to do on all inclusive holidays! So many people have complained to their reps but just get fobbed off! This is more like an all excluded holiday......expect to pay for use of fridge, air conditioning and safe and drinks if you want a decent one! Expect to climb a steep hill to get the hotel and many more steps to the rooms.

hi im hoping to give you impartial truth:

* there is a hill and its steep, and we then had to climb 73 steps to our room, it was hard but my mum has had a knee replacement but managed to do it. Tip walk down, take a taxi back!!
* room very clean but basic, shower nr floor level so you have to hold it up, dark corridoor with no lighting, like going into a cave!!
* beds hard but i didnt mind this, only 1 pillow and a sheet, blankets in cuboard but were full of sand
* clean & modern hotel but with minimal facilites- this is not a 4 plus hotel, no luxury here
* food is....not good.. my breakfast i ate was bread n marmalade,
it didnt make us ill but that was it! we ate out after seeing what was on the menu..plenty of salad but not much else, micro wave didnt work nor did toaster, if you were half board you were treated like 2nd class, we couldnt get a drink anywhere aqnd had to paid 5euro if we did.bad and basic, would like to say it was ok but it wasnt.
* staff in dining room, rude, rude rude! other staff ok
* pool nice lots of beds
* your quite remote on a hill, supermarket at the bottom and across busy road and a taverna which was nice
* walk into stalis which is 20 mins away is lovey- use short cut otherwise an hr!
* stalis is fab, pretty, nice beach, lovely friendly people, no pushyness, lots of shops, bars, resturants all laid back, couldnt fault it, i will go there again and stay in stalis itself. Get a taxi back from the beach front to the hotel, & euros its worth it!!
* resort other way heronnissos, more lively, loads of shops, just not as laid back and nice as stalis

In a nutshell...dont go full baord you will feel ripped off as the lunch is the same as the tea, no snacks, no entertainment, if you want a place to stay and thats it go here, was not dirty or anything, but beware this does not deserve the rating it has in the brouchure, olympic should not be marketing it so nor some of the others we picked up from on the way back from the airport!!
we had a good time tho for a relaxing hol hope this helps xx

Upon entering the hotel, you get that feeling of uncertainty if you want to proceed further and see the rooms. People at reception speak good english, but were not extremely helpful in the misunderstanding that happened between the local tourist office and the hotel bookings. The following situation of instead having "all inclusive" we had "half board" (what means w/o drinks and lunches), upon resolving the situation - there was not even "sorry" from hotel stuff. Our rooms were situated on the top 7th level, though I've had help with my suitcase, my friends end up carrying them alone (again everything was done in Greek way - with many promises, but when the moment came to carry suitcase - there was no one around).

The bathrooms are scary, as sometimes you can find spider or other little animals, we tried to keep all bathroom cosmetics inside the room. The towels are changed only once in 2 days, am not sure if beddings were changed at all. The conditioner and TV are really "old school", though we came in september and there was not very much need for conditioner. There is small fridge in the rooms.

Though the view is really amazing from the room, on the sea and heading East - so you can see all sunrises and beautiful sunsets.

The kitchen - breakfasts (potatoes for breakfast - first time in my life!), lunches (you can ask for lunch box - 2 water bottles, 2 oranges, 2 sandwiches), dinners - the menu was quite limited though fresh vegetables, feta cheese saved my day. The people in the dining room seemed very tired and did not smile even when greeting with "Kali Mera" or "Kali Spera". In overall you get tired of food on 4th or 5th day, so as for breakfast it's ok, but lunches and dinners you can think to have in other places in town.

Though the gem of the hotel, was the guy on the bar named Emmanuel, who is working in hotel for 20yrs, and is very good and sincere magnetic man with rich experience, that can tell you all secrets, make special drinks, and keep conversation on every topic in the world. Real treasure of hotel - if you need any advice - ask him, and you will get your issues solved. He really knows "everybody"!

Concerning the beach - you can go down the hill - Nana Beach - 15 euro/2 sunbeds, or rent bike/car and go to Stalis (Stalida) - we went to Nemo beach - 2 euro/2 sunbeds. There is also a pool table, and mini golf for free. It's close to restaurant Hellas - if you want to go for lunch, and there are really nice people on the bar that can make pizza or drinks for you (but just check if they don't pour Smirnoff instead of Bacardi rum)

We also travelled to New York night club in Hersonissos, Heraklion and Sissi beach.
It's good to take a car and make a tour on island.

In overall: if you don't plan to stay at hotel, and come there just to sleep, and have a drink on the bar with Emanuel - it's perfect budget place.

p.s. most tourist were British, Israeli, Ukrainian and Russian.

Room Tip: almost all rooms are with view, just ask if they are not too high, because for us climbing into the room during afternoon sun took up to 5 min ;)

Rooms were smelly. Towels were changed every 2 days and bed sheet never been changed, wine and beer were horrible. There were only choice of one lager, one dry and medium sweet white wine and one red wine. There was no option for vegetarians for food though all are either half board or all inclusive.

Room Tip: All rooms are same but 101 to 130 are better. never choose from 640 to 750
