Recently returned from a 13 night stay at the AKS Annabelle Beach Resort and had a fabulous time. One of the best All Inclusive hotels we have stayed in. The hotel is out on a limb, but if you're like us and just want a relaxing holiday without much sight seeing, this is the hotel for you. We were very fortunate to have a sea view and the rooms were very clean and well equipped with decent bedding and pillows. There is a safe in the room which is free of charge, however if you lose the key it will cost you 50 Euros. There is a fridge in the room too for any purchases you need to keep cool. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom but I would take your own as it's not very powerful. There is plenty of wardrobe space too. Beach towels are provided free of charge, but you need to exchange your towels for the cards and return to Reception at the end of your stay to avoid a charge.
The hotel has three shops, a jewellery shop, clothes shop and a shop that sells everything you need, i.e. gifts, papers, food, drink, hats, sunglasses, cigarettes, cigars, and lots more, and all at a reasonable price too. There are three pools at the hotel, the beach pool is lively with water polo, games, aqua aerobics, pilates, yoga, etc. and where the Animation Team mainly entertain you. The upper pool is quiet if you want to relax and has a swim up bar too! There is also an inside pool to use when the weather is not so good.
Food: There are two restaurants, the main restaurant and the Taverna. We used the Taverna during the day as it was near the lower pool, which was adequate for us. The main restaurant has more choice and there is a varied menu daily. There are adequate sunbeds both by the pools and on the beach, so no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve them, but obviously earlier the better. The Animation Team we're fabulous and very friendly and worked tirelessly putting on shows, games, etc., to entertain everyone. The hotel has very mixed nationalities and we met some lovely people from different nationalities. There are varied water sports on offer for a charge – paragliding, jet skiing, etc., but barter the price down as they are quite costly.
Negatives: The bar service at the lower pool bar I felt was poor. The staff seemed to have no idea who's turn it was next to be served so just served anyone, so you could be left standing a while, which was a bit annoying. The hotel also caters for a large Russian population and I found the majority of them very rude and they don't believe in queuing!!
Overall, despite the negatives, this was one of the best holidays we have had. We met some lovely people and had a fabulous time. I would definitely return to this hotel :-)
