“Great hotel friendly staff”
Reviewed July 19, 2011

After reading some shakey reviews, we were very pleased with the hotel. Checking in was a breeze. I still think wrist bands would be easier than cards for drinks and at meal times. The grounds and pools are very nice and well kept, rooms are well equipped with good aircon but the bathrooms are small. The entertainment team were non stop and very friendly. I didn't think the music was to loud or techno as described in some reviews. The food was good, lovely salads, various fresh bread and lots of variety (there are no steaks or lamb but the price reflects this) The wine is quite good and plentiful. The beer can get a bit boring after a few days as there is only one choice. The long trouser rule for men a dinner id strictly enforced. I can understand that they don't want beachwear on the evening but in 35 degree heat, its a little uncomfortable. I suggest a tailored shorts rule, also there is no dress code for women so they can wear anything, cut down frayed denims etc.
We did find that the pools closed rather early (6 o clock on most nights) and the beach bar could open later than 6. There is a bit of a problem with getting drinks in evening with waiter service but not as bad as some reviews suggest.
Last but not least the staff, excellent, there was not one that was not helpful and friendly.
A special mention must go to barmen Lefteris (Tezza) Kostas (beware the shots!!) and Mairte's Lefteris and Nikos and waitress Mariana.

We have just returned from a week at the Aquis Silva Beach. We walked through the lobby into the main hotel complex and were taken back by the feel of the whole place. Either way you look you have a view of the sea or the mountains. We walked down to the sea and sat outside at the beach bar. Within 10 minutes we were greeted by George the Assistant manager who sat with us and chatted about the island and his family ( we had gone over to visit Spinalonga) There are 2 pools, One larger than the other, The larger pool is where all the entertainment goes on and the smaller decked pool is where you can chill out and listen to music. At no point was the music loud or overpowering as some reviews have mentioned. The food offered is lots of fresh salad and fresh fruit everyday. The main meals were a little repetitive at times but i think this is mentioned by the people who like to have a spoon full of every offering. There is however lots of feta cheese, tomatos, olives and salad. You are in Greece after all!!! In the evening another little moan for everyone seems to be the service for drinks. This must be the first time I have heard brits moan about not having to queue, it is waiter service so it may take a little longer but who cares.....you’re on holiday. A tip goes a long way that is correct but we're talking one Euro each and this doesn't have to be every night. The hotel is clean, pretty with fabulous views from every angle. The staff are very friendly and funny. Make sure you have a drink with Georgiou at the lobby bar and say hi to Alex on reception. If you fancy a trip out make sure you go to Elounda, Local transport will get you there very easily.
Ohhh and as for the slow WiFi. Who needs it...Your in Greece!!!!

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this lovely hotel with my elderly parents and loved every minute of it. Right from the moment we arrived we were treated so well by all staff we came into contact with. The hotel design/layout is so pretty, like a village with little apartments (only ground floor and first floor) with wonderful plants/trees/flowers all around. All paths are ramped and stepped so that people with disabilities can access all parts. There are 2 gorgeous pools and the hotel grounds stretch right down to the beach. This isn't the best beach ever so if you are beach lovers this probably isn't for you but the 2 large pools are really lovely and set quite apart so it never seems crowded and the adult only theme really does make a difference. The food was lovely, plenty of variety, always being refreshed and never did we see food from lunch being bought back out for dinner. The very large outdoor dining area is lovely and cool and looks right out over 1 of the pools and the sea, a real treat. The location of the hotel is great, it is on the edge of Hersonissos but you can walk out of the hotel doors and be right by bars/shops/taverna's and you can walk along the main street up to the pretty harbour area where all the nightlife is or walk along the beach road. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the best we have ever encountered, Haroula on the front desk, Kostas (the mad barman), lovely Christina in the restaurant, all helped to make our holiday one of the best ever. The pool bar area is lovely to sit and cool down in, right on the sea front where there was always a lovely sea breeze. The entertainment team were great, best ever. Hotel lovely and clean. This really is an exceptional hotel and we would recommend to anyone.

This is an over 14 years olds only at hotel, but there were some dubious 14 year olds around!
We loved the location and the layout of the hotel.
We did not like the cobwebs and dust in our room.
We did not like the lukwarm food.
We did not like the bar service of an evening.
We did like the animation team who gave everything 110% all the time. They were never too busy to stop and see how we were doing, they encouraged everyone to take part, we didn't see all the evening entertainment but what we did see we mostly enjoyed.
We were all inclusive and found it very strange to be asked to pay 10 euro's each for the entertainment and drinks on the Monday evening -we always stay AI every time we go away (at least twice a year for last the13 years) and have never come across this before. We think that this needs to be sorted as does the bar policy of an evening, or if not the policy then they need to employ more bar staff to serve people, as they do not serve you at the bar in the evening - waiter only.
The staff were very friendly on the whole especially one waitress at the pool bar in the evening who was very happy to stand and talk to people but not to actually serve drinks!
Some people have mentioned that at one pool the music was too loud, we didn't find this at either pool.
We also found it very easy to get a subed - yes some people were putting towels out on them at the crack of dawn but on the whole most people played the game.
We didn't use the free wifi there as I get it on my kindle and this was probably quicker than the free wifi from looking at other reviews here.
Would we stay there again, probably as it is adults only (18 + over only next year), however we would need a cleaner room and the service problems to be sorted.

Room Tip: We had a groundfloor room overlooking the main pool, nice terrace and generally quite quiet.

I have just returned from a weeks last minute holiday and the feeling I got is that all this hotel were interested in was there self and about making extra money we arrived on a evening flight from the uk and arrived at 05.00am after checking in and having a pcture taken for all inclusive pass card (stupid idea) we were shown to our room which was in no way the same as what you see on there web site and when we asked to be moved guess what another 15.00 euros per night and still not as good as the pcture on web site.
Also there web site again states that on arrival you will receive a fruit bowl if you call 2 cheese and ham sandwhices and a apple each a fruit bowl then fair enough also web site again says that you will have coffee making facilities, there were not .The best time to eat and drink is lunch when you can help yourself to as many drinks as you want as at dinner you only get offered once and it is served to you but the service in the evening at the romantica bar is a joke one night we sat there from 8pm till 11.30pm and only had 3 drinks but guess what after 11pm when charged for they start taking your orders. To cap it all we enquired about a late checkout as our pick up time from hotel was 01.15am and as you have to depart the room at 12.00am 13 hours without a room is a long time I was quoted 90.00 euros more money all inclusive is not what you expect yes it is free when you are there but the hotel know what they are doing and make it very hard for you to get what you want the drinks are only 25cl (250ml) so for us brits a pint will take you four visits to the bar as you can only have 1 drink per visit this is for everything including water and the staff tend to have there favourites I would imagine good tippers why should i tip when I have paid already. The animation team were full on from morning till night but very funny and if you just say no then they will not bother you . Hersonnis is not that good either unless you want to party all night there is not much to do.The staff at the hotel could of been a bit happier when all said and done we are paying there wages.

Room Tip: best rooms are overlooking the pool there are rooms overlooking a back street not nice
