Owner description: Acqua Plus Water Park was the first ever water park in the area of East Europe. It was also the first in Europe to create and put in use the so called cashless system. Build only few minutes from Hersonissos in Crete it is with no doubt the most popular water park in Crete. The combination of water slides, natural environment and great people make this theme park a unique proposal to spend a day during your vacations.

“Tame”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

The rides and slides are a bit tame, even for timid teens (we are veterans of Wet'n'Wild in Florida). Very clean, though.

“Fun day”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

The park is well organized, staff are nice and attractions seemed to me quite safe.
You can rent a loocker. Sun umbrellas and sunbeds are free of charge (and there are lots of them all over the park).
There are a restaurante with snacks, hamburguers and greek food. Price and quality were ok.

“Good but not excellent.”
Reviewed August 19, 2014 via mobile

Not being a visitor of these places, I can't provide any benchmark!
We decided to get there around 3 PM which gave us 4 hours. Advantage was that most early comers leave around 5, so we had 2 hours with all the slides with practical no queue. My kids (10 and 13 y) had great fun. General service was average including lockers, food and change place. Safety looking after young kids was not top and you could see that this place with more care and management could turn into a top location.
My evaluation is based on the judgement of my kids.
Price was 21 and 13 for adults and kids which was 4 EUR off the regular price and it seems there is room for negotiating, in particular if you came later. They close at 7 PM.

“Good for younger kids”
Reviewed August 19, 2014 via mobile

Good for kids who like scary rides without being too scary. Older kids and adults might want something a bit bigger. Having said that the biggest queues (never v big) were for the calmer rides so maybe they know their market. My rating is based on lack of queues. Hardly any at all. Makes you wonder why queues in English indoor parks are so long. Toilets ok. Food pricey but they don't search bags like the sandwich police in England (Blackpool pleasure beach). Saw plenty of people eating their own stuff. A nice day for children aged 12 and 9.

“A dissapointing day of queueing”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

Having previously been to the other big waterpark in this area 'Watercity' we were a little disappointed with what this smaller version had to offer. Not only were the ridesless exciting but their ability to handle queues was not impressive (I expect to queue but fairly, these queues were not always organised very well) nor was the lack of inflatable hoops required for some of the slides resulting in chaotic scrums at the bottom to grab them off people who had just used them. This park is probably suited more to younger kids who might struggle to be allowed on slides elsewhere but for older ones looking for that 'Thrill ride' you won't find it here. It's also very expensive which given it is cashless and everything is charged to your armband can be a dangerous thing....!! An OK day out but not as god as Watercity nearby.
