Had a late lunch with my wife as a result of reading reviews on trip advisor.
It was superb. The quality of the food was excellent, beautifully presented and the staff were first class.
This is a little gem of a restaurant serving really tasty food at reasonable prices.
Would highly recommend a visit!

Sokaki is situated on one of the side streets off the waterfront, the one with versivious (italian restaurant) at the top if you are travelling from the main road.

The restaurant is split over the street which seems strange until you see how busy it gets. And has a feel of stepping into someones house as it is relaxed and welcoming.

One of the earlier reviews described the menu as off putting and I can see why as it had pictures on and cuisines from all over which normally isn't a good sign however I'm so glad it didn't put us off. You should come here if you want to try real Greek cuisine done well.

The service was a little slow to start with as they were so busy and I would suggest that if you have a table close to the street as it would be a little cooler, (there's no traffic to speak of). Other than that no complaints.

The staff were welcoming and happy to explain what is in some of the Greek dishes as they are not all explained on the menu. I went for brechin meze which is shown in the photo, this literally translates as 'drunkards snack' which is slow cooked lamb in redwine and tomatoes with cloves and spices. The sauce was rich, tangy and divine.

Starters are huge so maybe choose one between you. And it is cheap particularly considering the quality.

We went here on our last night and I'm so pleased we did.

We ate here a couple of times even though we were all inclusive, and the food was great as was the staff, a nice family run tavern tucked away down a side street from the main strip, well worth seeking out if you are visiting Hersonissos.

We decieded to try Sokaki after reading some nice reviews on tripadvisor. This was the best choice ever! Food - just amazing and unique! The size of portions was a big surprise for all of us - the plate with salad was so big that we could share between 3 of us.
Prices very nice, you can have a 3 meal dinner for just 10 euros! Drinks in very nice prices.
If you want to try a little bit of everything go for Meze for 2! Marvellous!!!
If you have some special requests ie. vegeterian, some allergies don't be affraid to ask - they will make special meal for you!
So many nice touches like fresh bread with dips or free ice creams at the end.
The owners are very friendly, you can feel Greek hospitality over there.
