“We heard the songs at Windsongs...”
Reviewed December 13, 2010

We stayed at Windsongs for 3N and 4D and the experience was mind blowing. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Pradhan for being so humble and wonderful hosts and specially to Mrs Pradhan for all the wonderful dishes from breakfast to dinner. We completely relaxed at your resort and recharged our batteries to get back to life with new hope and believe.
The ambiance of the resort is really great with soft music and the wind chimes humming at there own will with the gentle wind from the hills, simply awesome.
In one phrase, Great experience!!

I went to WIndsongs after reading the reviews here on tripadvisor. Thanks to all who have written and how true all of it is... I ended up staying 04 days. I have never come across such warm hosts. I felt at home... an extended family. Thanks - Mr.& Mrs Pradhan for your hospitality. Special thanks to Mrs Pradhan for the delicacies which we would not forget till many more years to come!

The location is mesmerising with a view span from the tip of the ice capped mountains to the bending Teesta river at the foothills. The outdoor morning breakfast in the lap of the mountains or the evening tea with the sun retiring for the day will stay with you forever.

Just one caution - donot carry work or worries with you as you would not be able to do it or even ponder over it. See it for yourself.

Cheers
Partha- Kolkata

My son and I were coming from Kolkata and Darjeeling and were still suffering from the shock of Kolkata and the terrible hotel we stayed at. We liked the reviews on Windsongs and phoned ahead to book and spoke to Subhadra the owner. When we arrived we couldn't believe how beautiful and clean it was with a phenomenal vista. We had booked for room and breakfast but after sampling the home cooked food prepared personally by Subhadra we went to full board. Both myself and my son are not easily pleased but the 3 days we spent at Windsongs was the highlight of our month long trip to Saigon, Phnom Phen, Siem Reap and India. We shall never forget the food, hospitality, personal attention and friendliness of Subhadra and her staff. You can really understand how it is to live in India as if you are part of the family. Thank you Subhadra for making the finale of our trip so memorable.

Windsongs is an ideal place for a couple to leave behind all worries and relax. The breathtaking view of river Teesta simply mesmerized us. We had initially planned to stay for a day but after entering the beautiful cottage, we immediately extended our stay by another day. The warmth we received from the charming hosts is something we cherish. The awesome view from the cottage was an unparalleled experience. The entire ambience of the resort is very elegant. The cottage itself was very tasteful with quite artistic photographs adorning the walls.

We simply loved the lip smacking delicacies that Mrs. Pradhan cooked for us with care. The way of presenting the delicacies on the table is something we truly appreciated. Kancha was too sweet to serve us with a lot of care. On the whole, we were pampered to the utmost at Windsongs We were served with a warm and hearty breakfast on both days in the sitting area right in front of our cottage overlooking the Teesta and the mountains… the experience was mind-blowing. The chirping of birds added a sweet note to the start of the day. Early morning, if you are lucky, you might be able to view the magnificent snow-capped peaks of the Kanchendzonga range.

We thank Mrs. Pradhan for making our stay at Windsongs so memorable. We surely look forward to visiting Windsongs again.

This was undoubtedly the best place I have ever been to, calling it a hotel will be an insult,it was more like a stay with my own family, Mr. & Mrs. Pradhan took all the pain to serve us the best, rooms, food, location everything was perfect, I wish I could have stayed there for few more days to relish the delicacies served by Mrs.Pradhan. No doubt I will be back soon with my family to explore further. Highly recommended for anyone travelling to Kalimpong

Beautiful is word that falls short of describing Windsongs and the ambience around it..
Breathtaking is more like it... A warm bed & breakfast/family run hotel tucked in a corner of Kalimpong..overlooking a valley with views of the river Teesta and Mt. Kanchendzonga..

The first thing that struck me was the warmth with which we were welcomed ..it was like a welcome one would receive from family. We were put up at the beautiful cottage..They have only one cottage as of now (and that is where we stayed)..there were 2 rooms in a seperate wing that housed the reception...I think they will be adding more cottages soon..

The view from Windsongs is breathtaking..the bed in the cottage has been placed such that when you wake up in the morning you get an amazing view of the Sikkim mountains..

Every meal was a delightful little feast with local cuisines.and served with the warmth and care of a loving home meal..the Pradhan family and their staff took good care of us and our every need..we felt pampered..

Go there to just forget your worries and relax..while you could also indulge in treks and other adventure activities, the best thing to do is visit the botanical nurseries and monasteries and relax and take in the views of Kalimpong at Windsongs..

Well , to start with, I was a bit apprehensive when i did the booking ,as this was a family run "guest house". On all my travelsover most of india and abroad, I normally stay in Hotels. For a change i deccided to book in windsongs.

And believe me, the expereience here was absolutely OUT OF THE WORLD. The charming hosts, accompanied by the excellent food and the icing on the cake was the unparallelled view from the cottage!!!!.

Since i was on a business trip, i could not enjoy the beauty of the resort to the whole extent. But i would definetely like to come here once again with my family and stay for a couple of days!!
