Beautiful is word that falls short of describing Windsongs and the ambience around it..
Breathtaking is more like it... A warm bed & breakfast/family run hotel tucked in a corner of Kalimpong..overlooking a valley with views of the river Teesta and Mt. Kanchendzonga..

The first thing that struck me was the warmth with which we were welcomed ..it was like a welcome one would receive from family. We were put up at the beautiful cottage..They have only one cottage as of now (and that is where we stayed)..there were 2 rooms in a seperate wing that housed the reception...I think they will be adding more cottages soon..

The view from Windsongs is breathtaking..the bed in the cottage has been placed such that when you wake up in the morning you get an amazing view of the Sikkim mountains..

Every meal was a delightful little feast with local cuisines.and served with the warmth and care of a loving home meal..the Pradhan family and their staff took good care of us and our every need..we felt pampered..

Go there to just forget your worries and relax..while you could also indulge in treks and other adventure activities, the best thing to do is visit the botanical nurseries and monasteries and relax and take in the views of Kalimpong at Windsongs..

Well , to start with, I was a bit apprehensive when i did the booking ,as this was a family run "guest house". On all my travelsover most of india and abroad, I normally stay in Hotels. For a change i deccided to book in windsongs.

And believe me, the expereience here was absolutely OUT OF THE WORLD. The charming hosts, accompanied by the excellent food and the icing on the cake was the unparallelled view from the cottage!!!!.

Since i was on a business trip, i could not enjoy the beauty of the resort to the whole extent. But i would definetely like to come here once again with my family and stay for a couple of days!!
