Being an avid traveller across the world and having stayed in all kinds of properties I have never come across something like this. On arrival on the 20 jan 2014 we were shown our room and since it was around 7pm we checked in and while keeping the luggage discovered to my biggest horror a dead RAT under the bed. On calling the staff one boy turned up with a broom and removed it with no apology or concern and the manager having left we were forced to stay in the same room and I could not sleep the whole night. The next morning despite being assured change of room we left our keys behind nothing was done and Infact the room was also not cleaned with no towels changed etc. no apology, no manager off course he turned up first thing next morning to take a small amt of money for drivers stay, unbelievable callous and terrible attitude , I wAnted to speak to the owner but was not given the number. I wonder how welcomeheritage has accredited such a property, I have such high expectations from them also Conde Nast traveller had reviewed the property highly... A real horror experience and unfortunately even worse the attitude, a decent apology would have made matters calm. I also wonder if we had not paid in advance would they have behaved similar???
