This was a real good choice by us, staying in Asian Confluence, in our recent trip to Shillong. Amazing interiors, polite and courteous staffs, Manager Jeremy and Ms Shabari always ready with smile to help.
Food was fresh and very much tasty. However, they have very limited option, that too with a whooping price tag, probably because it is not a full fledged hotel.
Though that should not be a con while choosing the place, because a lot of multicuisine restaurants are available outside at Laitmukhrah market within 5mins walking.

Avoid room no. 101, as bathroom of room 102 exhausts in 101 bathroom. Also top floor suite should have fan arrangement, considering summer days.

Some tourist may find the location as a con, because the guest house is not nearby Police bazar, heart of Shillong. However, for us it was not a con, as laitmukhrah is also a lively part of Shillong.
Oh, yes, for those who doesn't like to be severed with internet, here you find wi-fi with whooping speed.

Room Tip: Avoid 101. Others are all good.

Everything about this place feels good. Rooms, ambiance, food, service, WiFi(High Speed). A perfect place for people who want to be far from the madding crowd even being closer to the city. Highly recommended. Library & Meditation Hall are coming up. it will truly add more value to this place.

Cleanliness, smells, electricity and hot water is obvious.
Good service and in good location.
There is a WIFI (High speed).
Towards the end of construction, but it is not felt at all.
Totally recommended.

Very comfortable rooms and very nice service. One of the best stays I had. It is situated close to the market area so you can have a nice walk at evening through the streets. The staff is friendly. And we were very well treated by them. An always ready wifi service too.

It was an awesome experience to revisit the Asian Confluence and noted the positive advancements the facility has made over a short period of time. The classy décor, comfortable rooms with all modern amenities and bathrooms with hot showers, welcoming staff, the traditional North Eastern Thali and the evening bonfire – were some of the highlights that made the stay special and unforgettable. The staff was accommodating and prompt with the special dietary needs. A perfect place to stay or host meeting and events in the heart of Shillong…highly recommend it.

It was grand welcome, when we checked in. all the staff was curious and was there to welcome us. smooth check-in. amazing flowers in the Small garden. nicely lit-up building. nice pieces of arts here n there.

Went in to the rooms, (it was a suite) it was as perfect as it shows on net. guys you need to improve on your web-site.
small personal note from 'shobri' was refreshing. all the small details which i had seen on web-site were there, heaters were in place.... nice nice.
and then we entered the bathroom, it was not well decor, yes it was very very clean. but then the problem starts, no hot water. in any of our rooms, one of the friend and i had to come out of bathroom and sit next to the heater. it saved us.

Towels: we did not used it, as all the small/ big particles of it was sticking to body and hair.

Food: We were happy to have there thali, we are not fussy. but in kaziranga all we had was potato. and again in the grand 'Thali" 75% preparations were 'POTATO'
now we are big city of shillong and the guest house is just next to a 'Laitumkhrah' market, were we spotted amazing leafy vegetables, like lettuce and some beans.
350/- per person was also not fair prize. we wasted most of the food. and we felt sorry about that.

Breakfast: we been asked weather will have potato curry and puffed roti??? or brown bread, we preferred bread, we got brown bread 4 slice and white bread ample quantity, corn flecks, and tea unlimited. but the female serve you breakfast don't understand any other language then hers. and her expressions while serving was..... do you want more???? do you really????

sorry to say so.... but that was the case.

we went to cherrapunjee next day, and stay in mawnynnong for night. and decided to came back as the manage, shobri, and other staff was quite nice.
we told the to give us same room.

and we made mistake.

There was no grand welcome, no heaters.... ok we are fine with it....we asked for heaters, we got it... simple..... but even if we had asked about hot water over the phone, it was not there AGAIN!!!! come-on....:(

Guys you have very nice property, if you improve on food, and on hot water... you are gonna rock. giving you 4 dots, to encourage, not to discourage.....:)

Room Tip: Hot...Hot...Water...check it...

Dear Customer:
We are sorry that you had problems with the water. The situation was beyond our control due to a severe power fluctuation and frequent outage issue in the entire locality. The Asian Confluence has power backup but due to the prolonged nature of the problem , technical circumstances were such that we had little control. We tried to ensure our guests are not affected but could not plug all the technical loopholes for all guests. You were one of them. Our apologies.
As regards the welcome, we do it from the heart in a homely way and to us, it does not make seem genuine to welcome the same guest twice in two days in a n identical way .You had said you were coming back when you left for a day and so, for us you had never left
As regards the food, different people have different preferences, We offer a fixed menu for the day, Guest preferences are always considered. So wish you had let us know.
