Just spent 4 nights at the Blueberry ahead of the 2013 Rickshaw Run. It's much more than a B&B. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who comes to Shillong. The location is central - good for Wards Lake park which is worth seeing. The rooms are big, well-furnished and very clean. The service is excellent, the food is great and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. And it's right next door to the Pinewood Hotel but much cheaper. Would definitely stay here again.

Blueberry Inn is one of the reasons which will make our short stay in Shillong memorable. This hotel is a short walk from the the Shillong city centre (Police Bazar), though not absolutely in it. But considering the fact that Police Bazar is a very crowded, busy area - staying right in the heart of it - might not be the right choice for tourists. It is situated right next to Wards Lake, one of the major tourist attractions of the city. The rooms are very good, spacious and value for money. The Suites are lavish with great views, Executive rooms awesome. Super Deluxe room we got to stay in was in the ground floor but very spacious, well lighted and airy. Even the Standard room we had initially checked in, though a little small in size, was good enough. But what makes the hotel special is the behaviour of its staff. The Managers, Mr. Ryan and Mr. Pradeep are both the main assets and will go to any extent to make the guests comfortable. Even if there are mistakes, they really try so hard to make you happy with alternate arrangements you eventually cannot complain. The other staff are also very nice and friendly and the food is also pretty good. An added advantage is unlimited free WI-Fi connection for guests which is a very great facility in today's age. I would definitely recommend this place for family as well as official visits.

It is a small hotel where we, as a group of 5 couples stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and great food cooked to our order by the chef.
It was indeed an excellent experience

Room Tip: All the suites that we used were very good

Most hotels are usually one of two things: a place that isn't too bothered with being glamorous, but feels very homely and comfortable. Or a place that has state-of-the-art facilities, looks posh, glamorous, luxurious and looks nothing like home.

Blueberry Inn is one of those extremely rare hotels that is both.

Upon entering the lobby, it felt like one of those friendly, homely places; with the cute dining hall (that offers Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes) and the extremely friendly and helpful staff (who really go out of their way to provide you everything you need, WITHOUT expecting anything in return).

But when I entered my room, I was highly impressed with the impeccable look and state of the amenities. The rooms really did surprise me, since most hotels compensate for their lack of infrastructure with a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. This place does not need to compensate for anything.

If you're waiting at the lobby for someone, don't be surprised if the manager or the owner himself asks you if you'd like to drink some tea/coffee while you wait. Having internet problems? The manager will get an internet dongle delivered to you, so your work is not interrupted. Lost your ticket and need to print it? "Don't worry, Ma'am. We'll send the print-out to your room." Don't have time for breakfast in the morning? "What would you like for breakfast? We will pack it up for you to take along." If you need to go somewhere at 2 am, the friendly hotel guard will stay around and ensure that your ride arrives.

Shillong is a mesmerising place to go to. And staying at Blue berry Inn is just cherry on top. I have stayed here twice, and wouldn’t mind staying again and again.
