The setup is nice and clean. The artifacts are decently maintained. As a lay person not too inspiring.

“well maintained museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2014

The entrance of Don Bosco museum is very attractive. Beautiful art gallery, well maintained, well planned museum consists of seventh floor. At least one should take time two to three hours to visit this museum thoroughly. We got a vast knowledge to visit this historical museum. From the terrace of the museum (sky walk) we enjoyed nice scenic view of Shillong city.

“A must visit in shillong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2014

If you are visiting shillong, you must visit this museum. Its a 7 floor museum and very well planned. You start from the bottom (-2) and keep visiting an area as you climb up to the terrace where they have "Sky Walk".
The museum is not only about Meghalaya but covers all North-east India.

“A good concept”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

This was my first visit to a museum which had such detailed tracking and display of indigenous culture. Its 7 floors of history and needs atleast 2 hours to go through for someone who is interested in understanding the lineages.

“Well made”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014

An interesting place as it has cultural information on all North East tribes. Since we couldn't possibly read and remember everything, we concentrated on the Khasis and Jaintias as these would be the cultures we would be exposed to during or trip. Do not miss the folklore on how the Khasis originated. It is a well designed museum.
