“Beautiful place”

Reviewed May 29, 2018

It is indeed a clean village. There were too many tourists so the place was too crowded. The living root bridge is a pleasant experience. It was drizzling when we visited and it made the experience much pleasant.

A living root bridge, You are not allowed to stand on it, you can walk through it to the other side and take a dip in the cool waters

If you come to Meghalaya, do not miss a living root bridge. These are true wonders of nature. The easiest way to see it is in Mawlynnnong. This is a single decker bridge thought. There are double decker bridges, that are more difficult to get to. This is easy even for kids and aged people. Nearby you can see the cleanest village in India, which is also a checklist item really.

The village is well maintained. However, the main attraction is the nearby Bridge made out of living roots! Certainly a unique spot. One is required to hike for about 15-20 minutes to reach the bridge. Most definitely worth a visit.

Its more a business driven and feel over rated. Like any other village in that area may be little more attention given to cleanliness. May skip unless its on the way.
