My husband and I stayed in Usha Ascot over Christmas 2013, for 3 nights. We were pleased with the friendliness and warmth of the staff, especially the manager. The food is also good, especially the lunch which turned out to be a sumptuous gujarati thali. Though we walked over to Lords Central for Christmas lunch - a gujarati thali no matter how good doesn't work for Xmas - we didn't miss non veg much. The rooms are clean and well furnished, but beware of the monkeys lurking around, so forget about opening the windows.
The only trouble we had was that guests here usually travel in large groups so it can get quite unsettling for couples who looking for peace and quiet. And the evening entertainment - a ghazal night - can get a tad monotonous if you're spending more than a couple of nights. All in all, recommended for a pleasant stay if you have a tolerance for a lil cacophony.
