We had not been to the area before so we used this site to help us make a selection. We rented a cottage at the B&B as I like the quietness of our own place. It was spotless and a great, comfy bed. Kitchen was tiny and adorable. The front screened in porch was perfect. Our host, LU, was helpful in all ways. She was friendly and helped us plan our outings and meals while there. We would absolutely recommend this place to stay.

I have been coming to Geneva on the Lake, Oh, all my life and have never felt as home as I do when staying with Lu. My family has been staying here for the past 8 years. We stay in the cottages behind the Inn. Both the cottages and Inn are very clean, a good value and very welcoming.

Lu and Jerry have created a private, relaxing oasis right in Geneva on the Lake. You'll feel at home as soon as you step onto the large wrap around porch. Coffee, tea, snacks and a refrigerator of cold drinks are available at all times. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds are heavenly and no comfort is overlooked. The owners' love for their B&B shines through in every detail. After a day of biking we enjoyed a relaxing evening on the white wicker rockers, sipping local wine, (help yourself to Lu's wine glasses and corkscrews), enjoying the breeze and conversing with the other guests. Breakfast was hot, with a variety of delicious foods. Our only regret was that we weren't staying longer.

We got the number of the Eagle Cliff Inn from an Ohio guide book we picked up at the welcome center. Even though they were closed until the weekend, Lu graciously offered us a room for that night. We were the only guests, of course, and had the biggest bedroom, which was absolutely lovely. It's a quaint old inn on the National Registry of Historic Places, with a long veranda with lots of wicker chairs to sit and relax in. And everyone is exceptionally friendly!

Oh my, oh my, oh my! Thank-You! If you could only know how your review absolutely made my day. We always wonder if anyone is finding us outside of our website or by driving our Inn. It is good to know that you found us through a welcome center! Further, I am pleased that we were able to accommodate you 'prior' to our season opening. We open the weekend after Mother's Day each year as to spend Morther's Day with our Daughter and her Family. As much as we do love our Inn....our daughter always comes first (but You will aways come a very close second -Smile!)...... Thanks again! Lu & Jerry

Stayed weekend of Oct 12-14 with friends. We visited all of the bridges and several wineries during our weekend. We love the old style B&B's, with the nostalgic feel, and this one totally fits that bill. The innkeepers were very welcoming, friendly, and informative. The welcome packet was quite impressive!! The breakfasts are Five-Star!!! The reason I'm giving them an overall 4 instead of 5 is because the mattresses leave something to be desired. We have come to expect total comfort when we're away in a B&B, and all four of us woke up with sore backs from the mattresses. Wouldn't hurt to change out at least every two years with the "traffic".... but, other than that, our stay was beyond expectations. Would recommend, and definitely stay again!

I would like to sincerely thank you for your most gracious review of our Inn. As most of our Guest's stay with us for romance, relaxation and winery-hopping, we strive at making our guest's stay the most memorable from their first impression of our Inn to their last. As we do not live in the Inn, though we do live on the property, we are not always available for check-in. With this being the case, we have a welcoming packet available, thus want to ensure that it is always available, with easy access to the Inn and your room, including a tour throughout the Inn. Thank you as well for the compliment regarding our breakfast. We try to ensure that all of our Guests' dietary needs are met, and not only make breakfast from 'scratch', but large enough that you won't go away hungry -Smile!
Now regarding our mattresses. Wow. I truly must admit that this is one of the first complaints we have had regarding sleep comfort, though we do take any and all complaints extremely serious. As all guest's have different sleeping preferences / needs, we do desire that our Guest's have the most comfortable sleep possible....up to and including having only 'firm' mattresses, as we hope for the baby bear sleep....not too hard, not too soft, but just right -Smile again! We so apologize for our mattresses not meeting your expectations, though we can assure you that they are 'changed-out' every few years. By the way...How were your linens, comforter, sheets, towels, etc?
Once again. Thank-You for taking your most valuable time reviewing our Inn. We can't make things better unless we know what our Guest's wishes and desires are. We will work hard at continuing to meet your needs. Thank-You!

Lu

This place met all of my expectations for it, so I am giving it five-stars. This review is for the cottage portion of the Eagle Cliff, and also merits me saying that if you are a traditional 'hotel set' type of person, the Geneva Lodge may better suit your trip here, since this is a cottage community.

Lu warns that the cottages are "extremely small," but if you are just a couple, staying for 1-3 nights, and do not experience awful weather there, you will likely not spend much time inside, and will not look at the place as cramped.

Sofa, kitchen, bed, bathroom (the shower stall was all I noticed as being a bit claustrophobic) comprise the cottage. A/C worked fine. The cottage is rustic, but has adequate modern conveniences and amenities, and is well maintained. There is a decent sized screened porch which was great in the morning.

The cottages are set back more from The Strip, so it was quiet, though the stay was on a Sunday night. Very nice people staying in the other cottages.

I will not hesitate to do business with this place again!

Room Tip: Much preferred the Firehouse Winery (3/4 mile walk) and Ferrante (7 mile drive) over the incredibly...
