We decided to have a romantic getaway in march and decided to go to the lodge... Excellent decision!! We had taken advantage of the wine package and it was a great deal.. the staff was amazing ..it was also during spring break so there were more children there than I had thought there would be however the place is Soo spacious we didn't even notice :) the restaurant ..the bar..the gift shop all fabulous!! We also took advantage of the wineries very close by :)

We stayed at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake for a quick weekend getaway the first part of May. The Lodge was more than accomodating to us for last minute reservations as we called the day we wanted to stay. The morning breakfast offered in the restaurant was good for the day and you could enjoy it looking across the lake. The area is full of wineries and covered bridges. The lodge offered a shuttle pick up and drop off at the wineries for a small fee. There are a few wineries that you can just walk to from The Lodge. Most of the wineries had entertainment throughout the day into the evening and it wasn't even their busy time of year yet. The front desk offered maps to try to follow to find the many bridges all the while passing a new winery along the way. Would want to definately plan on being there for the entire weekend to be able to sample more than a few of the many wineries and see more bridges! Did find out information about a 'progressive dinner' that the area wineries do offer several times a year. Can't wait to return to this area.

We spent three nights at the Lodge at Geneva on the Lake over Christmas and highly recommend it. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. The facility is immaculate indoors and out and the staff is friendly, accommodating, well trained and very professional.

Our room was a pet friendly one located on the first floor. A sliding glass door led out to the patio, which was convenient for taking the dog out. The view was of Lake Erie and the outdoor pool. The room itself was nothing fancy: 2 double beds, an armoire with a television, a desk and chair and some lamps. Since there was no comfortable seating, we brought the chairs in from the patio and that worked fine. The bathroom had a tub and shower. There were always fresh towels, plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

Each morning we walked along the trails or into the deserted town of Geneva on the Lake then enjoyed the fitness center, indoor pool and spa.

The restaurant is lovely and has great views. The menu offers nice selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We plan to return in the summer this lovely lodge, dine on the outdoor terrace and enjoy the warm weather activities.

I brought the idea of going to the Lodge at Geneva-On-The-Lake, Ohio to my four siblings in May of 2011 to celebrate our Mother's 80th birthday in November 2011. Boy was I glad we did. It was fantastic!

it wasn't without it's hiccups. There were 22 of us including grandkids and I just wanted to have the birthday dinner in the Horizon's restaurant. But it was being held the weekend after Thanksgiving and the restaurant and catering manager felt that the service would be better in a private room. The premise was to have the individual familes pay their own meals and if we went into a private room then we would have to do catering and all that comes with it. So we each compromised. We went into a separate room (Covered Bridge) and they allowed us to do a limited menu and separate checks. Worked out perfectly.

Each family purchased a special weekend rate of $99/ngt that included 2 breakfast's per room. Since the hotel offers Family rooms that sleep up to 6 people each of my brother and sisters only had to get one room. The room that my Mother and I shared was a handicap accessible double that was spotless and had a beautiful view.

The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more accomodating to us and friendly. One of the big surprises for my mom was an hour swedish massage that she absolutely loved.

Being from Pittsburgh PA, I cannot recommend the Lodge more highly and can't wait to stay again for a girls winery tour weekend that I'm planning for next year. The wine shuttle that they provide is awesome! The close proximity and beautiful scenery makes it so wonderful.

My husband and I, along with 4 other family members went to the Lodge for Thanksgiving dinner and also stayed the night. The staff was courteous and the property was well kept.

Most all rooms at the Lodge only offer 2 Double beds. Many suites offer 1 King size bed and the only rooms that offer 2 Queen size beds are the Courtyard Queen Suites. Those were taken, and since neither myself or my husband are small, the thought of us sleeping on a Double bed wasn't going to happen! We got a 'Family Room', which had 2 Double beds and also bunk beds. My husband slept on the bottom bunk. The rooms themselves were very clean and comfortable, with a nice partial view of the lake and the woods.

The Thanksgiving dinner that the Lodge put on was exceptional.... salad, fruits, shrimp, roast beef, super moist turkey with the trimmings and plenty of pies and cookies to choose from.

Dinner was

Every year now, for the past seven years, my daughter and I have shopped all day at Great Lakes Mall, and then, headed to the Lodge for an overnight stay and breakfast. The Lodge is really beautiful...right on the lake...very peaceful and serene.

The rooms are very nice, and they have Bath and Body products in the bathrooms. This year, our hairdryer did not work, and we called the front desk. Within five minutes, we had a maintenance staff member at our door, replacing the dryer. Also, there was a mix-up with our reservation, and the staff took care of it immediately. Wonderful customer service.

We had breakfast in the dining room....they have some great deals on bed/breakfast packages. The omelets were very good, and the service was great. They even offered us "to-go" cups on our beveridges.

We will return again next year....

My sisters wedding was being held at this property. It was right on the lake and had a lot of open space to walk around. The grounds were well tended and we really enjoyed the walking path. Due to us being here in November we were not able to enjoy the outdoor pool but it looked well maintained for fall/winter time. I appreciated the availability of stairs as well as the elevator to get to rooms. The stairs were right out in the lobby so you didn't feel like you were sneaking around in stair wells. I was a bit surprised about the room itself as I thought it would have a higher caliber of bed linens. It was not a game stopper, but would be nice to have a bit more luxury in the rooms.
