Consistent quality and very fresh fare. Try the Lake Erie perch sauteed. It's a wonderful local dish. The Lakehouse Inn wines are a very nice complement to their meals.

We have eaten here a few times over the years and they just keep getting better. They are very close to 5 stars in my opinion. The menu is reasonably priced with most entrees around $20 or less. They did have a special of red snapper today that sounded good but was a bit pricey at $30. They started with delicious warm rolls, a rarity in many so-called 5 star restaurants. I had the duck breast with sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus ($21). It had a really wonderful sauce with pecans, although perhaps just a tad too salty. My wife had the caprese salad ($10) and a shrimp appetizer ($11). I tasted both. The salad was good and the shrimp was excellent with a lime and tequila sauce. For desert we shared an espresso bean gelato. The wine list was small with some of their own wines and those from a nearby winery. I think they had sold out of several of their wines. We had a local Chardonnay for only $22 which was good but not great. The service was friendly and good. My only nit is that after eating 2 rolls, dinner, and dessert, I was still a bit hungry. Slightly bigger portions would be nice. Note that just this month they have redecorated and expanded the size of the restaurant. It is a beautiful space with glass on 3 sides, a bar, some skylights, nice natural woodwork, attractive furniture with white tablecloths, etc. However, they expanded the building into the lawn where they used to have tables, so it is unclear to me if they will have outdoor seating now. The outside is not quite finished. The winery is in a separate building with a terrace right on the lake, but it is separate from the restaurant and has its own menu and hours. Anyway, you can see the lake and the sunset from within the restaurant. After dinner, we walked down to the beach to witness a beautiful sunset.
