“Natural beauty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2011

My friend, his wife, myself and my wife, went by road to Coorg from Bangalore in October 2010.
Enroute, we saw the beautiful Golden Temple at Bylakuppe and Nisargadham.
Our home stay at Alpine Glove in Madikeri was comfortable.
Sun rise and the sunset at the Raja's seat, Abby falls, Tala cauvery, Baghmandala are the attractions in and around Madikeri.

You have to visit Coorg once in your lifetime if you are born and brought up in a CITY. It is called Kashmir of South. This year we have very pleasant weather condition. Rains are less, you can enjoy the beauty of nature, otherwise rainsy season will witness heavy rainfall during this season. Come N Enjoy.

“Rocking Coorg”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2010

Coorg is simply an amazing place... completely virgin, not touched by the insanity of touristy clutter. Beautiful winding roads alongside coffee plantations... miles and miles of it... the weather stays amazingly wonderful. Not too sure if I should write more about this place and have a flurry of unwanted attention and exploitation of this paradise.... go see it yourself!

“A must - visit place in Karnataka”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2010

Coorg is one of the most beautiful and enchanting places that I have visited so far ... its just nature, nature and more nature all around ... lush greenery, serene lakes and plantation estates make it a truly wonderful experience ... add up the hospitable people and local cuisine and u have an irresistable combo ... no wonder its called the Scotland of the East ! ... just be sure to visit the place with spouse or friends over a long weekend and u will never forget the rejuvenating experience ... also ensure u r put up at a plantation estate homestay and u will become a repeat visitor to Coorg !

“My favourite place in Karnataka, India.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2010

We spent three days in Kodagu and all these days we felt like in heaven. This is a place which no one should miss. A hill station with waterfalls, place known for orange and coffee cultivation so dont forget to taste these fresh oranges there. The Kodagu people are very friendly to their guests and you can try their special Kodagu recipes from certain houses where they prepare homely food for guests.Thalakavery is known religious place but we could not visit which is originating place of river Kavery.
