“Beautiful Falls with a good hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

Its a above average hike to the falls. Even though this hike may look easier it does take some time before you reach the top of the falls. Once you reach you can enjoy the natural water pool. It can be cold depending on the season.

The steps are built age old days. It is slippery few places so be careful. You do see the falls in the natural form without any man intervention. So there is risk of slipping on its way depending on the season. Summer sun can be very hard so you got to be aware of it.

This place is remote so it does take more than half a day if you are starting from Madikeri. Either you start early morning or make it on your way back depending on how you plan your trip or else driving alone here can be exhausting.

I saw a lot of people trying to reach quickly and come down immediately. Hike this place only if you enjoy the falls with bit of hard work or else it may not feel worth while for a pic. :)

I also saw a lot of plastic bags were thrown around. Please be considerate about throwing anything non-biodegradable.

Coorg is about nature so I would recommend this hike/falls if you enjoy nature/hiking !!!

Place is not maintained. Not recommended for old people as lot of stairs to climb. It is still being constructed. Govt needs to do more maintenance.

“Long distance and Waste of Time”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2012

There is nothing much to see in Iruppu falls. It is a waste of time to go such a long distance to view the falls. It is better to visit dubare elephant camp or something near madikeri

“Just good....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2012

Go here is you have that extra time during your stay @ Coorg. From the parking lot, its just about 25-30 mins walk up to the falls. and it is quite EXHAUSTING! Yes! it was difficult... or maybe so because we walked in the afternoon. Probably you should go here in the morning.

The falls up there was very beautiful.....! you could spend there about 1/2 hr up there. Not worth more than that. Water is super chill over there!! :) :) :) and you are not human if you manage to have a dip in there! :P

It is worth visiting place but only that it is quite far from Medikeri. It is not yet commercialized that was is beauty out in forest with good track.one can also visit Nagarhole wild life sanctuary ,that is hardly 10 km away .so one day is enough for both the places.
