“calm and quite place”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

really peaceful, not much of tourists.
the architecture seems more Islamic than Hindu.
the pond before the entrance is very sobering. there is no facilities to keep shoes or bags, before entrance steps.
the inside of the temple and the courtyard is almost devoid of people, a rare occurrence in India.
toilets or any public conveniences are invisible.
needs improvements.

“Unique blend of architecture”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

We visited this temple around 5.30 in the evening. The temple complex is not too large but well planned. There is a large pond at the entrance, supposedly with lots of carp fish but we could not see them and saw some cute ducks instead!

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is also known by names such as Omkareshwar. The highlight is the unique architecture of the temple. It is a blend of Islamic, Hindu and also Kerala style ( with red tiles). Something, we have not seen anywhere else during our travels. One club this visit along with Raja's Seat and Fort.

“Nice temple but nothing special”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Good temple with combination of temple and islamic culture from outside.
Pros:
1) peaceful temple where you can sit peacefully for 1 hour
2) big area, pond, good scenery
3) situated at heart of city

Cons:
1) nothing special in this temple which can will force your heart to spend more time (either in pilgrim point of view or as tourist point of view)
