“A peaceful and serene place”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

Recently we went to Hoyasala village resort with out 6 month old baby as we wanted to break free from the regular hustle bustle. Also since our baby is small we didn't want to travel too far thus we decided to go to hoyasala. As we were approaching the resort we had to pass thru the city of Hassan though a nice city,we were a little worried how hoyasala will be as we didn't want something right in the city with a lot of noise and crowd. But guess what the moment we entered hoyasala we were blown over. It's an amazing place very close to Hassan city at the same time very quaint. Right from the welcome drink to each and every meal we enjoyed the hospitality and the warm of all the people who made us feel special. The ambience was excellent and the chefs served every meal with a lot of love and care and excitement to make us taste the best of foods made with their heart and soul. The resort has a/c rooms but the moment we entered the room it was a pleasant coolness about in even without the A/c or Fan. The rooms are made of high roofs of wood set amidst the trees there was no need for an A/c as the place was very cool. Each and every member of staff was very very welcoming. The evenings were b'ful with nice music played everyday by diff. Local artists. All in all an amazing place to unwind from the noise and crowd.Look forward to going there again.

The resort is very nice. The rooms are spacious. The grounds are well-maintained. The pool is a very large one for a resort with only 49 rooms/suites. The food quality is outstanding. But, above all, the service is truly what made this experience special. Everyone is always helpful and constantly checking on your comfort. At the same time, once you are in the comfort of your room, it is peaceful. The resort is large but with only a small number of rooms, making it in an excellent haven for quiet and peace, within easy access of Hoysala temples.

The last weekend was at Hoysala Village Resort. My friend and I had taken our elderly mothers here for a short vacation to get away from routine. It was a pleasant and memorable weekend. Our mothers throughly enjoyed their experience here. Every detail was in place. Special mention about all the staff starting with Mr. Ashok Hegde who is incharge, the Front desk staff with their courtesy, the housekeeping staff who are prompt to attend to requirements, the staff at the restaurant, the ever vigilant security personnel. A special thanks to Mr. Alva who owns the property.... who was checking with the guests their requirements and ensuring everything is being taken care of. A wonderful experience - we hope to return there soon.

Room Tip: All rooms are equipped with good natural ventilation

We stayed at the Hoysala for one night. The room that we got was comfortable and pretty large, but the bathroom was very simple. They could really use some remodeling. The suites have balconies. Ours was small and had only partial view of the pool but we enjoyed sitting there, upon arrival, with a nice cup of hot tea.

The nice thing about the resort is that it is nestled amongst beautiful greenery. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent, with many regional dishes and desserts. They had some local musicians playing during the evening buffet, a nice touch. The staff was also very helpful.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a remodeled bathroom.

Got chance to stay at Hoysala Village Resort during our trip to hills of Karnataka. Their hospitality began right from the time of arrival with kumkum-aarti-garland. On way to cottage you walk through pleasing flora. Room ambience is soothing with a private sit out. Every staff gave service with a smile be it housekeeping, Front office or restaurant. One could see rare variety of khaki hibiscus in their garden. Restaurant served Indian and continental delicacies. It's proximity to Halebidu n Bellur is another advantage of its location. Overall a pleasing place to stay. -- by Pradip Shirodkar from Mumbai.

Well,March 15th being our 30th anniversary,we wanted to make it very special for ourselves by staying in an exotic place, not very far from Bengalooru and that too, just for the day.So after a really quick decision,we headed to Hoysala Village. It was so overwhelming for us to be received in such a warm and special way-arishina-kunkuma(haldi-Kumkum) and jasmine garlands!!
We were shown to our cottage by Mr.Ashok Hegde, the manager himself, who is an amazing person with very pleasant manners. The walk to the cottage through a well-maintained garden and rustic architecture provide a great ambience. The interiors are even more soothing to the eyes with pleasing earth-colours and Lo! a perfect place to relax and unwind!! The best part about this place is that, you wake-up to the sound of sweet chirping of birds!!We also noticed that every staff member here, had the same sweet smile on his/her face, with polite manners and always ready to do anything for you.To mention a few of them,Mr Balal ,the front-office team, Sandhya,Ramya and Bhagavath;not to forget Guru and especially Jayakumar who took us around the place explaining about the trees and it's medicinal uses etc with such expertise! Then, at the restaurant,Keshav,Samarth and the entire team was extremely hospitable and ensured that we tasted each and every delicacy!!The food too was extraordinary and authentic which had the local(Malnad) cuisine!!

To sum it up,it was an extremely comfortable and a very memorable stay for us and we had to return with a heavy heart, leaving behind our new-found friends but assured ourselves to go back again very soon.It was like a home away from home !!

Surely,worth the money spent.. :)
