This was part of our Travelsphere tour of India we stayed for 2 nights. From here we visited 2 ancient capitals of the Hoysala empire - Halebid and Belur whose architecture was simply unique with intricate hand carvings.

We were a group of 12 staying in this hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious and had a balcony. The arrangement of the accomodation was well done and provided secluded areas. Sorting out the electricity supply took a few minutes. Nicely landscaped with good planting. There is a hide at the back overlooking a small river. Wi-Fi available but intermittent/unreliable. No fridge in room. Food good but not exceptional.

Comfortable, spacious room, pleasant helpful staff (all speak good English), and delicious, varied and plentiful food. Very helpful in organising trips to Belur, Halibed and Shravanabelagola with a knowledgable and experienced guide. Every meal was a delight.
Would recommend to anyone interested in travelling and South Indian culture.

I agree with ChristineH350, January 2014, except no ala carte and so many groups we ate early. Pool (13 strokes, kidney shape) is nice but again hard wood chaises, no pads & had to find someone for towels. Bungalow exteriors copy old village architecture and we appreciated having plugs that accept US plugs. Paths to bungalows lined with flowers.

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to rate us here. Also would like to thank you for your genuine comments & suggestions.

As suggested, we will be issuing soft pads for the swimming pool chaises at the earliest and we make sure the points mentioned above will be taken care.

Thank you for choosing Hoysala Village Resort - Hassan. We hope to welcome you again.

Regards,
Team Hoysala.

Three of us shared a spacious, new ground floor apartment at Hoysala for 3 nights. It comprised of a large bathroom with separate shower, spa bath and toilet; a large main bedroom and a large living are which was also used as the bedroom for one of our group. The staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry service was OK tho the clothes came back damp even tho' pressed well. Breakfasts and dinners were buffet style, catering for a good number of people including some tourist groups from countries. The Manager for Food and Beverage went out of his way to satisfy our request for special spicy dishes, which we appreciated. The environment was quiet and the gardens well maintained, with interesting plants to see. We used this resort as a base to visit Belur, Halebid and Shravanabelogula. It is set out of Hassan so need transport to get to and from. Very good value for money and a restful environment amongst the greenery.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the large, newer rooms away from the main restaurant area

We had been to Hoysala Resort couple of times, the last time being in December 2012.
We had been here as part of family outing (8 adults and 4 kids).

It is a great place for nature lovers - exotic plants and trees. And for bird lovers, you would find lots of variety of birds like woodpeckers, paradise flycatchers, orioles, etc

The best part is the cultural activity every evening - there would be live indian dance shows, music shows, indian instrumental performances by talented folks.

There is a nice swimming pool.

Great hospitality, great food and great place for those looking for a nice break from the hectic routine.

Hoysala Village resort is situated on Hasan-Belur road. The location per say is not spectacular, but what they did within the resort is wonderful. Lots of greenery, various types of trees & flowers, excellent pathways. It gives a feeling as if you are staying in a park.

The rooms are very spacious and constructed in such a way that it provides privacy to the guests. However it resulted in poor natural light in the rooms. The swimming pool is good. Despite huge space, they have only one restaurant i.e. Belur Restaurant. It gets cramped when 2 groups arrive at the same time. They should seriously consider opening another restaurant to ease the congestion. The breakfast is good. The food at the buffet was not that good, but the food items on the live counters are very delicious & yummy. So ignore the spread at the buffet & concentrate on live counters.
The best part is Service. It is outstanding. Right from Sr level officials to the junior most employees, offer excellent courtesy & service.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.
