A visit to the Tirthan Valley was long overdue... The hype was building and we were expecting the moon.. We were finally going there and we had great expectation.. When we finally reached Tirthan Valley after a long drive from Fagu, we knew we were going to love the place.. And we really did.. It surpassed all our expectations.. The place is beautiful.. the tirthan river is crystal clear..

A must visit if you are travelling to Himachal.. Lots of guest houses near the river.. We stayed in Raju's Guest House.. Wonderful experience it was.

Excellent place in Tirthan Valley. The hosts are very friendly -Mr.Chistopher and his wife.Do visit the waterfall which is about 1 hour trek and enjoy fishing for trout..which is in abundance in the Tirthan River.

went to this beautiful valley of tirthan in june 2012.it is a beautiful place secluded and tucked in the lap of nature.the drive in himachal was beautiful.people looking for a place away from cliche "hill-stations" must go and stay here for a week atleast to breath in pure air and feel the chilled water of beas river.
we stayed in himalyan trout house, where the hospitality of our hosts, homely food and a youth full and yanky set up made the trip all the more fun.
we are certainly going back there.

major attractions-
waterfall
nature walks
trecking
relaxing besides river
fishing
.........or just grab your book and sit facing the river ....

If you want to go for a trek in the Great Himalayan National Park, Tirthan Valley (in the buffer zone just outside the park) is a good place to start your visit. You can stay in one of the small guest houses - we stayed at Khem Bharti Guest House - neat, clean and tidy, and great local food - served piping hot and friendly hosts.. and then you can walk around to see the trout farm, waterfall etc... You can stay here for a day or so before going into the park and again stay for a day on the way back. You can visit the Park orientation centre from here too.
