“Into the wild”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013

Spent a whole day there despite we getting in the "off" season, so we were unable to go all the way insied. By our guide Tarun was so passionate that he managed to get us really involved and emotional (well that wasn't too difficult).
In the evening we were luky enough to see ore thet 24 rhinos, to have a wild elephant cross our path just meters away, and en the end we hat to get moving before 2 rhinos got too curious about our vehicle.
Nature at it's best.
But the visitors should be kindly and firmly reminded about respect...

“For the great One Horned!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Kaziranga National Park is perhaps the most popular attraction in Assam. Huge grassland and wetlands are the only place where the one horned rhinos are plying. Many hotels are present near the fringes of the national park, and they arrange for the safaris in the park. The elephant safaris are in the morning in two batches (05:30 and 06:30). These are great to see the huge rhinos from stone throwing distance. If lucky may also be visited by the bison. The shy Swamp Deer are also an attraction.
Jeep safaris usually start from late morning and after lunch and usually have 2-3 hours duration depending on which range is to be visited. Jeeps with driver facing seats are recommended for comfort. Roads inside the park is undulated and jerking, rolling are common but not uncomfortable as jeep will have 10-20Km/h speed inside the park. Rhino sightings are common but from a distance only, hence having a binocular can be handy.

“Go Green”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

It was the very first day of our long trip and we reached kaziranga from Guwahati airport at night. We stayed at Agoratoli Resort which was 20Kms away from the main gate of the national park. We were getting impatient as we had to keep travelling inside to find our resort. However when we reached there it was amazing and mind blowing as the resort was situated in the middle of the park. The next morning when we got up it was an unbelieveable experience to see greenery all around. The national park is huge and medium dense with vegetation.
We all enjoyed the jeep safari at the eastern range however did not spot many animals apart from few tuskers, Rhinos and deers.
Next day we went for elephant safari in the central range and again did not spot any tigers.
All in all it was above our expectations and we truely had a gala time.

Early morning Elephant Ride to have a glimpse of the world famous one--horned rhino & jeep safari to the dense forest are really enjoyable, so also some posh hotels with bars.
