I stayed for few hours in this hotel and request all fellow travelers to not attempt staying there. The room I was given (308) was small, bathroom tiniest I have ever been to in a Hotel, shower cubicle was small with severe water clogging and TV set top box was malfunctioning. breakfast served on the terrace level was disappointing. Over all this Hotel certainly does not deserve more than Rs.1000 a night and it is quite shocking that they are getting away with this sub standard service and up keep.

Room Tip: Run from this place and if you cannot, ensure you check the room, bathroom, TV before you take the p...

Guwahati is not having any 5 stars or 5 star services what we get in other big cities, still its a city, many travelers including tourists and business people visits here regularly, flights are always full, still available hotels are old, filthy, dungeon, no sound proof, poor service, etc.. (personal experience)

As usual I was searching for a new hotel options after landing in Guwahati, a new name appeared in trip advisor list, called lilavathi grand, 30 room small hotel, checked the price (don't get bugged by star signs), checked for any discount, then booked the deluxe superb room, evening reached the hotel, hotel is new, room, linen, floor, furniture all are fresh, room is big enough in size for a solo traveler, called room service to switch on AC, room service person arrived immediately, they are not so trained professionals but sincere to help, wifi available free at room, used there common pc with internet also, had dinner at Gr floor restaurant, not so costly.

3rd floor and Room was facing road side, till 11.00 pm disturbed by the road traffic and honking sounds, this sound proofing is big problem in most of the hotel I stayed in Guwahati, may be next time should try some other rooms away from road facing, otherwise hotel stay is pleasant.

Morning called room service for news paper, arrived immediately again people are not much trained otherwise why should I call, coffee ordered came shortly, tried complimentary break fast in 4th floor, limited options, toast, omlet, poori Baaji, juice, corn flake and coffee but for the price paid... its ok, they can improve the breakfast spread.

Check out procedures are quicker, i checked all the bills due to the self doubt about people handling the front desk are not so experienced, but no any error.

Good rooms for short stays of business and tourist people, situated in the middle of city.

Room Tip: avoid road facing rooms, they are noisier from road traffic

Nice place to stay, great staff, should lower the price a bit.Business travellers dont miss this one.My stay was pleasant. Ground floor rooms are not recomended. Rooms bit small. May be some of the furniture can be removed to make the room look bigger.

The hotel is modern and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and well kept and clean and so are the bathrooms. The food is also superb. The service matches the rest in being top class.
The location is good and convenient for move around the city.
Overall it is one the best choices to stay in while you're in Guwahati. Period.

Overall Good Stay. Booked for two nights. Had to cancel for first night - initially Hotel agreed over phone and Cleartrip agreed (provided they get confirmation) but later hotel declined :( It was a genuine request as met with a minor accident on the way. Otherwise -- Good hotel, location and cleanliness (Deluxe Superb Room).

I must confess that I had always been looking for place to stay in Guwahati as many of the places deteriorate in due course of time, during my last stay in Landmark, they could neither give me a wake up call nor could provide breakfast in time, so I thought of changing my hotel and this was the best thing I did. The rooms here are spacious, clean , the services provided are prompt, courteous and the food is just excellent. The location is perfect, it is almost at the centre of the city and very near the railway station. The room charges are much lower then any of their competitors and I hope they do not increase it, so that middle class family can afford to stay in it. I would urge the management to continue services in the same manner and also upkeep the hotel in future so that guest can leave the place with satisfaction and good memories.
