Not sure of the variety of choices in Guwahati, this was a rather middle of the road, old style business hotel, which has clearly seen better days! The eponymous Landmark is cricket stadium and probably forms the pavilion grandstand end! My room was on a lower floor with no view to the stadium!
Located on a rather busy market street, the best thing it has going for it is the old world laid back charm! Breakfast is rather spartan with the hot beverages in an unhelpful corner of the room. The cartoons etchings and paintings for the Raaj era are very engaging. The food variety on the ala carte menu were rather good with decent helpings and fairly inexpensive! Dubiously ordered prawns - but was surprised pleasantly by taste and portion size!
Most shopping areas are a short walk away, though the area is not particularly touristy!
Good only if you HAVE to stay in Guwahati for some reason! The museum is also fairly close, as is the Chandmari lake.
