i along with my family and friends stayed in this resort for 4 days. very well laid out, neat and clean rooms . Best part it is located on the same beach on which all the high end resorts are also located.
The owner & manager is a lady. She holds an engineering degree ,very co operative, well mannered and gave us good guidance. They have small restaurant which serve good home made food.
nice location,nice setup,value for money.

Room Tip: during dec and jan go for non ac rooms

Stayed for few hours in this resort. The plan was to come back to PortBlair from Havelock the same day when we arrived in the morning via MV Makruzz. The hotel provided a complimentary pick up and drop to the Havelock Jetty. Food served was very homely and tasty. The nearby Govindnagar beach in Havelock is just 2-3 minutes from the hotel. The rooms of the hotel are old but they are real value for money what you pay. The owner is also very approachable and takes good care of the guests. If you have budget constraint or don't want to night stay in Havelock this is the best option.

Neat rooms couple of minutes from beach and reasonably priced. Located alongside major resorts in Havelock this is a value for money proposition. Service is prompt. However major drawback of this hotel is lack of a proper restaurant. Food served was tasty, but variety is less and compared to the bare bones restaurant setup on costlier side. While we were staying we used to visit Anju Coco restaurant near by for food.
Barefoot scuba is located in adjacent property to Cross bill, for those looking for a cheaper stay option while on a scuba dive trip Cross bill is a good option.

Room Tip: All rooms are located on way to beach on both sides of walkway. Hence room location is not a worry...

Nice clean accommodation, with air con, owner is lovely and location is perfect. Would stay again, 1 minute walk to one of the quietest beaches on the island and good location for diving shops further down the beach

We had booked for 2 nights through agent Andamantrek (those guys were great- see below)..but this place is horrible..please DO NOT go here...
The "cottage" is of concrete, OK size, not facing the sea but each other...location is good....(scuba walking distance etc.)...but the SERVICE/. owners attitude will ruin your vacation..

Our experience:
We checked in on Day 1 and ordered lunch immediately...it took more than 1 hour to prepare since they make it from complete scratch (they= 1 completely sad unclean guy in a kitchen smaller than the one in my apartment).....no milk for kid, no juice...very limited variety...but it was ok in terms of taste..

Our horror begins 9pm, when we try to go to sleep in our "AC room"...the AC starts but then cuts off after every 10-20 seconds and can't cool..we call the lady incharge (owners daughter?)..and her attitude is "can't do anything this is what happens after 7pm every night on the whole island....you can get out of the hotel if you want to!!!)
We explain that we have small kids and will likely not find any hotel at that time of the night and were anyway booked for 2 nights...perhaps she could move us to another room where the AC worked...by the way other room ACs were working nicely and noisily....and that is when this woman starts shouting at my wife at the top of here voice...!!! We literally have to walk her out of the room to avoid waking up the kids who are trying to sleep....
Without any choice...we back out and have a horrible sleepless night...(frankly less because of no AC but more because of her behavior!!)....we obviously made calls to our agent Vikas in Andamantrek and that guy worked wonders to provide us another option (seashells) by late next morning...and we exited.....
Even the exit was so horrible...at 7:30 am she wakes us up saying ..please hurry up and leave..I have already sold this room to someone else!!! She does not provide help in breakfast or getting luggage to the car etc...! Funny thing is the even her cleaning lady who chatted with us..said this is not new and happens with lots of guests because of her attitude...
The change in hotel impacted our days program a lot and we ultimately got only 2-3 hours at Radhanagar beach instead of 4-5 hours as planned....Ito anyone who reads this ..please do not ruin your vacation mood by going here..unless you are a lone ranger Hippie who plans to be high most of the time so would care less!

Another word about Andamantrek since the contrast is so great- when he heard about our travails the guy ran around in Port Blair and did not rest till he found us a room in Seashells...and made all arrangements - car/ luggage transfer etc...with as little impact to our program as possible..seriously excellent serice...highly recommend getting a local agent in andaman if you have a multi-day multi-island trip like ours...there are many agents.....I can only say about them and they were just wonderful with impeccable arrangements (AC car available on time every place, ferry tickets w/o issues, this hotel change...tiny personal arrangements for the toddler e.g. milk at 9pm in Port Blair and then banana at 7am AM before ferry time!!!..just great)

<by the way I had read enough bad reviews about this lady on TA..but still made this mistake to save couple of thousand bucks...very bad mistake! there are enough good hotels in havelock..avoid this dump>....TA seriously this place does not deserve 3.5 stars..!.>

We had booked 2 bungalows in advance but had very little confidence that it was actually reserved for us, turned out I was right, we arrived and there was no bungalows that we had booked ready so we were given aicon ones, but she, Depali, cut the power to the aircon so they could not be used and said she would move us the next day to non aircon bungalows. The aircon units were 2 doubles, and were clean, we had booked a double and a twin, so she helped seperate the beds and didn't give us any extra bedding, so one bed with linen and one bare bed were set for my son and his mate to use. Our room had a double bed and a grubby looking cover that was actually an undersheet matress protector not a cover, I say it was grubby, it was clean but looked grubby. It had a roof fan that sounded like a tractor engine all night, The seat for the WC fell in half each side of the WC and an attempt to mend it was not helped by the rusty metal bar that was vainly attempting to keep the plastic together, We all walked to the beach, beach no3, there was a 2ft high pile of whole and broken glass bottles there, there were used syringes left lying around, plastic water bottles and poly bags! When we got back to the resort about 7:30pm there was no sign of her or staff anywhere and all the office and restaurant? lights were out.
The next day there was no sign of any life to have breakfast so we went across the road to a cafe for an excellent breakfast.
We left crossbills resort and found somewhere else, the TukTuk driver told us he has to do this regularly from here.
Depali, the owner actually wanted us to pay for 2 bungalows for 2 nights as compensation, even though she had not been expecting us! Although she cleans the property herself had not seen any problems, denies insufficient bedding, she needs to come out of denial and open her eyes and realise that cleaning the huts does not repair them and that she should also clean the beach near her property, it was dangerous and dreadful.
Cheap and uncheerful. Not a good introduction to the Andamans!
Don't be fooled by the photo of a swimming pool at the resort, it must be somewhere else because there was no swimming pool there when we were there.
