My wife and I ate at the Village Inn today while taking a break from our mike ride down the Kokosing Gap Bike Trail. The food was really good and the portions very generous. I had a turkey club sandwich which was excellent. My wife had a salad that had a lot of grilled chicken on it.

We love this place and eat a late lunch there about once a week. The soups are outstanding and the preparer isn't afraid to season them. Sandwiches and wraps are varied. Nate, our usual bartender, would do any upscale establishment proud. Best restaurant in the area.

My wife and I wanted a light, healthy, late dinner after a family outing. Ordered portabella quessadia and humus. Both were good, but beware of the spicy quessadia. Great wait staff.

Great, delicious bar food---with some unique twists! The usual staples are on there---wings, burgers, fries, but then there are pulled bbq pork quesadillas, homemade veggie burger, hummus, pesto pasta----everything we have ever tried there has been FABULOUS! All of their sauces, dips, dressings are all made in house (the blue cheese dressing is to die for!) and I believe most of their meat and produce is local and organic. Add all that to friendly service with a great "old school bar" atmosphere and you've got a place that can't be missed!

It gets pretty crowded when Kenyon College is in session, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but you can always hang out at the bar while you wait.

GREAT place!!!

If you live or are visiting Gambier we locals highly reccomend the VI. Great drinks and food. Sit out side on nice evening and see the world go by. Fun to sit at the bar. Lots of locals and well behaved Kenyon College students. This is the place in Gambier to see and be seen while having a cool draft, a large cocktail and/or enjoyable food. Nice wine list, ask Jerry for a reccomendation. Go! Enjoy! Relax!
