“Just fine”

We had a long drive and arrived late, was able to check in very fast and efficiently. Plenty of parking even with all the service trucks, etc.. in the lot.

Room was typically fine, no real complaints. I would say this hotel has the largest breakfast area seating we have encountered which makes it a more enjoyable experience as some of the choice hotels with just a few tables make you feel rushed to move on so other can eat.

Wouldn't have a problem staying here again on another trip.

We had to wipe down the light switch in the bathroom with clorox wipes because it had something brown smeared on it. The bathtub had stains in it. The chair looked like someone bled on it. We were in a smoke free room and it smelled of smoke. If we had been staying for more than one night, we would have asked for another room.

I read the reviews on trip advisor before we stopped here. I can confirm that the breakfast is outstanding, but the rooms are also large and really not that tired or worn out. The bed was extremely comfortable. We were just staying for the night before returning to tidewater VA, so just passing through and this is the last place to find accommodation for about 75 miles. The next part of the trip is not interstate, so worth doing in the morning when one is fresh and can appreciate the amazing scenery.

Some rooms at Quality Inn are very worn-out. You will get the best free breakfast in town, but there is not much of competition for that title. Hampton Inn down the road is newer, cleaner but also more expensive hotel. Ask for the room facing the back side (open pool side) of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for the room facing the back side (open pool side) of the hotel.

We were on the road and decided to spend the night instead of driving 3 hours after dark to get home. It was a holiday weekend, and we were in no hurry, so we looked around and found this Quality Inn. As we were checking in, I overheard another customer say, "Your breakfast is what brings us back!" I thought, well that's great news. In a day when a good FREE breakfast consists mostly of waffles, cold cereal, and packaged muffins, we were glad to hear about a good old fashioned HOT breakfast. The room was exactly what we expected. The night clerk was exceptionally friendly and congenial. The bed was great, but the pillows were not our favorite. The next morning we headed down to breakfast was was pleasantly surprised. This breakfast was better than we've had in recent memory, (and we travel frequently!) They had the best scrambled eggs we've had in years. The breakfast casserole, (quiche?) was terrific. The juice selection was better than most. The bacon was cooked perfectly, although the sausage could have been warmer. All in all, this was the BEST FREE breakfast we've had in a long time on the road. If we ever get back down on the Ohio River, you can bet we'll stay at this Quality Inn again!

We arrived after 10 pm and didn't have a reservation, and they were quick to accommodate us on the 2nd floor. We couldn't find an elevator anywhere and nobody to ask, but we managed. The air conditioning in our room wasn't working well so it was pretty hot and hard to sleep. The room was very clean and the free breakfast had alot to offer like fresh fruit, cereals, toasts, juices, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy and muffins.

Pretty decent hotel for the price. Excellent old school hotel lounge.Very nice staff throughout my stay. Could use new ac units, but really that's my only complaint. Best part really was the breakfast that came with your stay. Probably the best I've had. Would def recommend on that alone!
