“Dining at the Diner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

As a first time visitor, I had to go with the meatloaf. It is worthy of the many mentions in previous reviews and in the newspaper cuttings in the lobby. Very good size portion. We also had the blue cheese salad which had generous chunks of cheese...a bit heavy on the dressing perhaps but very good. Decor is interesting, a combination of retro '50's diner and modern coffee house. With the music and bare walls / bare floors, and almost every table filled, it can get a bit loud so this is not a romantic spot by any means.

Fun, great food and great specials. Awesome desert so save room. Lots to chose from and decent prices and portions.

“Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We were driving from Dayton to Columbus to meet our children for Easter Sunday. We had heard rave reviews for this Cameron Mitchell restaurant so we booked our Easter family meal here. They were offering their brunch menu, which looked fairly decent online. However, I have to give a mixed review. My daughter ordered the romano crusted chicken and was happy with her meal. However, I ordered the beef stroganoff and was extremely disappointed. The pasta had a very dense texture and the overall taste was very bland (had to salt it numerous times). In addition the service was extremely slow (which was probably due to the holiday). Bottom line - I was fairly disappointed - not sure if I would make the effort for a return visit.

“another great experience , reservations through Open Table saved time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

We saved over 30 minutes on waiting for a table by using the phone and web app . The meals were all fantastic as usual and if you like Key Lime pie you need to try the one here. The meatloaf melt sandwich I had was really good . Only minor thing was waitress brought my beer without a glass but I'll put up with that since everything else was fine.
We had a table in the back near the wall and I think it was easier to talk at our table than normal here but still was loud enough that it was difficult to hear our waitress. If you are looking for a quiet dinner this place isn't for you . Its an upscale diner not a white tablecloth and violin type place . Still its some of the best dining in Columbus hands down.

“Diner, no dive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

Cameron Mitchell has really placed this gem over the top. I'm talking about pecan crusted pork chops, killer drinks, and eight in high chocolate cake. Think art deco Warhol decor, combined with top notch service. Seriously worth the visit
