The staff was very professional and the check-in process was quick and trouble-free. Clean rooms and a good hot bar for breakfast. Location on hotel left something to be desired, but the hotel itself was top-notch.

Room Tip: Can't really say due to the limited stay period!

The area this hotel is in isn't the prettiest - seems a little run down. The hotel is right off of I-80 but not that easy to get to (have to drive past the hotel and make u-turn). Yes, a Department of Corrections office is next door but it is NOT a jail.

Our room was large with a king bed and pull out couch. We asked for non-smoking room, however, it was obvious that the room at one point had been used as a smoking room as it had that stale smoke smell. Otherwise, the room was clean.

There was a fridge but it did not have a freezer (not even one of those small ones). We had some ice packs that needed to be frozen and the front desk graciously put them in a large freezer for us with our room number on them.

Check in was precise and quick. We requested a 3rd floor room at check in and the was no problem getting a room on the 3rd floor. We stayed in the 1 Bedroom Suite-Separate living room-Micro-Refg included. The room is spacious. Our room was located away from the elevator, no noise issues for us. The staff was very friendly. This is by far the best hotel you will find in the Lorain/Elyria area. It's located right off the Turnpike. The hot breakfast had a lot of variety and it was always fully stocked. We had no issues with available parking. Complementary cereal, coffee and cookies 24 hours. A lot of different types of restaurants near by. The mall is very close by.

A good hotel to stay for the night. Nice staff breakfast and pool. The rooms were clean; good hotel right off the highway. Very good stay overall. I am a fan of country inn and suites and like the hospitality.

Having stayed at other country inns, I was expecting this to be safe and comfortable! It was neither! I arrived without a reservation and was told they only had king suites left in non-smoking which was fine. BUT it was in the ground floor which they didn't tell me. I took one look out of the window which was barely locked and knew I wouldn't sleep a wink! Very sketchy looking outside ( next morning I found out the building next door is department of corrections and rehab!) asked to be moved and was given a room in the third floor which was supposedly non-smoking. Room totally reeked of smoke as the ventilation systems are connected to smoking rooms. So every time someone lit up I got the smell just like they were in the room! Asked the front desk again and was told that was the only room available. By this time it was 11 pm and I had a long drive ahead the next day so I stayed. Moral of the story is that as these hotels are franchised they are only as good as their owners! ventilation issues definitely need to be addressed!

We were shooting across the Ohio turnpike during a lengthy roadtrip and just needed a place to crash for the night. This was perfect! Room was large, clean and attractively decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Due to the brevity of our stay, we did not access the fitness center or the pool. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was better than average, including strawberries and whipped cream for waffles, a variety of fruit, breads, muffins, eggs, pork, cereal, etc. The price was exceptional. We were very pleased with our quick night here and would definitely stay again.

Our stay was such a blur, we checked in late and left early the next day. But I will say that our room was pretty nice and it was pretty clean. The hotel is pretty and well kept. There was a strange odor, we wondered if smoking used to be allowed there. Our son had the room next to ours and his room sort of had an odor, too. Not sure what it was. The guy at the front desk was very nice. The bed springs squeaked, the bathroom was spotless, the room was terrific (with a sofa and a microwave and table and fridge). Good stay. We'd stay at a Country Inn again. I'd say that you could most certainly stay at the Elyria Country Inn without any worries or concerns. It is a well run and clean place to stay at a good price.
