Our stay at this hotel is one that I will never have again. Upon check in my husband and I had to be moved to a total of 3 rooms before they finally let us settle into one. The first room they gave us had not been clean yet so we went back up to the front desk and asked for another room. Well and behold we get the key and proceed to walk in and that room was not clean either! One more time we trot up to the front desk and ask for yet a third room to be transferred too. With my husband being tired, and wanting to lay down for awhile, and upon him pulling the sheets of the bed back found A TON of hair on the sheets, where housekeeping never changed them from the previous room holder! Once the sheets were changed and we went to watch t.v. guess what??...that didnt work either! So we were stuck in that room all night with no television and other offer of accomidations once I told the manager upon our check-out.

Not the greatest hotel experience. We had several issues: The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the shower water was temperamental, and the room felt overall dingy and old. The continental breakfast had pretty poor selections and didn't seem fresh. We were told our room had wireless, but the signal was weak (often not working at all) and there were no hookups. The "game room" advertised was two retro arcade games in the laundry room. Privacy is also problematic; for example, we could hear our neighbors coughing.

We Checked into one room only to find after unpacking the bathroom was not working.
I called the front Desk and we were given another room with out delay. once inside It seemed some repairs had been done to ceileing How ever never completed. A 6x2 area had been painted but the texture never restored The Micro wave barely heated. The bath floor did not seem clean as around edges you could see ground in dirt.
The "Pillows" if one could call them such were not much more than a ball of cotton.

We spent two nights during Oberlin college visit. There is only 1 hotel in downtown Oberlin, so this is our choice and it is okay and reasonable for the price.

First, had to change rooms due to smokers having been in the "non"smoking room. BAD list follows:
Wet carpet due to leaking tub faucet
Drip, drip all night from leaky tub
Close office at 9pm - no internet
All ice machines broken
All soda machines empty
Door to room stuck and very hard to open
AC worked about 20%
Coffee maker never cleaned in 3 days
Small refrigerator had NO shelves
NO SERVICE OF ANY KIND
4:30 AM Spanish speaking group arrived and tried to break in through connecting locked door between rooms, smoking talking very loud.
Called office after 25 rings finally answered to complain about the mexican group.
Called police, said it was a domestic matter.
3 NIGHTS of little sleep, dry rot under the floor, thread bare sheets, leaky faucets.
Whoever manages this hotel, does NOTHING, in the entire hotel maybe 15 rooms were occupied.
Breakfast stale, coffee BAD
NEVER STAY in THIS HOTEL, you will regret it!

We had Decided to go to Cedar Point for the weekend, but we Lived in North Caroilna, so we Didn't know a lot about the Area. We saw several hotels, but they were all booked. We were a bit Hesitant to go to Econo Lodge because we have has trouble with them before, but we deicded tro take a chance. When we entered the lobbyand sterted to check in, the Front Desk Clerk noticed we were from NC and informed us about the area. The People at the Hotel were soooo polite and curteous. The rooms, just recently rennovated, were Clean and cozy. Although the pool was a bit cold, it was very clean.

This is basicially a no frills place.I stayed here on May 22nd,2009. Typical Econo Lodge. Room was clean and bedding ok. Motel consists of 4 seperate buildings. Bob Evans restaurant in front of motel. Wendys within walking distance. All rooms on one level with exterior room doos. Area seemd safe, no problems. $59.00 rate includes free simple breakfast too. I would have no problem staying here again when passing thru.
