Let me preface this by saying that we had a hard drive into Columbus, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes and the like, so perhaps this tainted the view.
Great location, staying for a conference at the hotel the next morning. Was able to check in without any issues, but there was a a noticeable pile of papers on the desk of the check in station. Those were "pledge" sheets that the overwhelming numbers of teenage guests had to sign to ask them to be respectful and quiet in the hotel. That right there is what is referred to as a "red flag." Needless to say the open courtyard design under a roof just allowed noise to raise up and stay on all levels of the hotel. Not easy to sleep.
Room is dated, especially compared to other embassy suites that I have previously experienced. Old style furniture, stains on carpet. Bathroom was reasonably spacious. Overall the hotel is perfectly functional, but nothing to look forward to.More
