In my travels for work, I accidently came across the original small store several years ago and felt that I had found a real diamond in the rough. I was happy to see their expansion and enjoy stopping in for lunch when I'm in Tusc Co. I find their salads very good and the most reliable of their offerings. Like other posts, I'm of the opinion the quality of the baked goods is inconsistent. I always try a dessert treat w/ my salad and frankly have loved some stuff and abhorred others. I recognize the owner but don't have a relationship with him. My observation is that he is more distant w/ the customers than what he used to be, esp when he was in the old location. I mention this because I stopped in this past week when I was in Tusc Co. While there, 2 women were sitting near me in the 'dining' room and I could overhear their conversation. Basically, they were complaining about his demeanor and claiming he only fraternizes with other business owners and his 'favorites'. I'm sharing this info because I see by his response to other posts that he obviously takes the time to read reviews (which is a good thing). I think it's helpful that he knows how some people perceive him and maybe a better effort be made to acknowledge all customers.
