“Not bad, convenient to OSU Med Ctr/Riverside Hosp”
Reviewed July 25, 2009

We've stayed here several times while a family member had surgery and follow-up treatment at OSU Medical Center. Ask for a discount for medical treatment because they don't advertise it. The price and locations are good, rooms clean and serve their purpose. I felt safe staying there unlike I did in other areas of Columbus (as in I-71 @ SR 161). There are restaurants, grocery stores close by and and isn't far to shopping.

This is a very nice location for people with pets, as there is alot of grass so you can walk your dog.

There are eateries...grocery store.....convenience store within a short walking distance.

I did see one problem, the cleaning staff appears to be very slow. Had to ask for my room to be cleaned and then still had to wait, which almost made us late for dinner reservations.

One clerk advised us of a certain policy the hotel has regarding pets, but when asked to produce the documentain she was unable to do so.

The room was tiny and consisted of the average hotel amenities (suave products, itchy blankets, etc). It was OK for a place to sleep for one night, but I wouldn't stay any longer.

This is my first economy hotel choice for Columbus. Ideal location (next to many restaurants, supermarket, gas station...all of which are within walking distance). I have stayed at this motel 10-12 times already.

Downside: The hotel can be noisy, as it is very popular. There is also no continental breakfast (coffee only).

Upside: The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the price is affordable.

i had 2 issues with my stay, first they put me in a room on the ground floor which i didn't deem safe. secondly the room reeked. the windows couldn't be opened and if i were staying on the second floor i'd have left the door open to ventilate, but alas. i wasn't keeping my door open seeing that my room faced the parking lot. there was no free internet either.

I just came back from a trip to Columbus, Oh, and I stayed in this hotel...The price was really cheap, the location is excellent (just in front of it there is a supermarket, a gas station and some fast food chains), and the room was really really nice...I went there to visit a friend and to do some shopping, and I have no complains at all in terms of security, parking place, and again, location...jeffersonville outlet was like 45min away, but easton mall, turtle mall and the airport were just like 10-15min from the hotel...If you are planning to go to Columbus, this is the place where to stay in!!

The reviews here don't give you the full picture.

Plus side: the place is clean (though the rooms are small - and I'm from New York, so that's saying something), the internet works well (but you have to pay extra for it). And, the staff is VERY attentive and on the ball. Even though I'm giving a bad review I really have to say it is not the fault of the staff, they were very good and did the best they could. The place is also conveniently located to a lot of fast food - if you like that sort of thing. The hotel seemed fully booked as well so it seems a lot of people stay there, apparently there aren't many hotels under $100 a night in this area.

The problem is the proximity to Ohio State. I stayed on a Friday evening and it seems the hotel is party-central for groups of local college students who rent rooms in order to throw parties, run up and down the halls, yell across the premises, hang out on the decks, etc. I was sandwiched between a couple groups of them so it was probably the worst hotel experience I ever had...and to top it off, at 2am, a high-speed car chase wound up with the car slamming into a light pole right outside my window and 20 cop cars pulling up outside the hotel. I don't know if that sort of thing happens every night, but it's definitely not a "quiet" location.

The staff was good about immediately asking the partiers to be quiet when i called down. The problem was it only seemed to aggravate them more and send them into occasional screaming/running rages down the hallways, then ducking back into rooms to avoid being caught. Dealing with people like this at 2am is only fun if you are another drunk college student; if you are traveling with family or on business, I'd stay away from this place, at least on weekends, or until the management decides not to tolerate this sort of clientele (but it seems to be a major portion of their business).

Everything did finally quiet down by around 2:30am, so if you're a night owl and won't be back to the room by then, then it's probably no problem.

But otherwise, my advice: unless you are an OSU college student looking for a place to party, spring for an extra $50/night and get some sleep.
