Not only do they have an extensive beer and creative cocktail menu, their appetizers were fantastic! We had the hummus and the chicken nachos and we were pleasantly surprised. Not your typical bar food!

Bodega has held the crown of "Top Beer Bar" in Columbus for a few years, and rightfully deserves it (though Bob's Bar in Clintonville is close). Their big draw is that they offer 50 craft beers on tap that rotate frequently, with another 20-30 in bottles. And these aren't just 50 variations of Bud Light, Miller Light, etc., these are all excellent craft beers from across the globe that allow you to indulge in whatever taste suits your palate. Breweries like Founders, Stone, Jackie O's, Bell's, Rogue, Green Flash, Great Lakes, Dofish Head, 2 Brothers, and Avery are well represented, just to name a few.

I spent the weekend on High Street and it was amazing. A mile stretch of fun restaurants and bars, galleries and stores. The highlight on High Street was BODEGA - a hip and relaxed restaurant/bar with an fresh menu with fantastic prices.

But what Bodega does best are cocktails - especially their blueberry mojito. This coming from a whisky and beer drinker who hates sweet drinks. But with some firm coxing from my friend I tried this little concoction. It is light and refreshing with a good kick, plus fresh blueberries. To my pleasant surprise it was not sweet at all nor too sour - a wonderful summertime drink. The trip was weeks ago and i still think about and crave those magical elixirs.

We went back the next evening and it was packed with an equally fresh crowd. A fun mix of people with a good energy. The bartenders were friendly and talkative and everyone drinking and eating were happy and approachable.

Relaxed atmosphere . affordable comfort food . amazing drinks . friendly staff .

I have been to Bodega several time and always come across the same issue: sloow service. Last time I was there with a friend we were there for nearly 20 minutes after getting a table and no had come by to get a drink order from us. We left and ended up at a better restaurant with better service and better food.
