This property should probably only get 3 stars, but I must admit I'm rather fond of it. I've stayed about once a year almost from the time it opened. I've found the service always cheerful and helpful, the rooms comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel pleasant.
On the negative side, it is beginning to look a little dated, and I simply do not understand why they can't seem to keep things in working order (as others have mentioned). I don't think I've ever checked in without something in the room being broken or out of service. This year it was two dead telephones, problems with the lighting fixtures, and a broken deadbolt. But someone almost always shows up promptly to fix things!
They have at least finally tried to improve their self-serve breakfast, which was prone to many problems over the years. They now include hot entrees free of charge, the pastries were good quality, and there are enough dishes and flatware that people aren't always running out.
I've looked at other properties in the area where they are located , and stayed in one of them, but I still prefer the Hyatt Place.More
