“Fun and eclectic”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

We were there during the holidays, so I loved the addition of holiday decorations to the eclectic decor. The food was very good and service was quick and courteous.

“Great drinks!”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

This bar is uniquely decorated- I feel comfortable here. I enjoy their drinks, and their desserts. This is a great bar to stop in at the beginning of the night, to get you jazzed up for the evening.

“Different, fun & spicey”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

We discovered this place when visiting Columbus to shop the antique shops. My husband was so happy with all the different microbrew beers on tap! The food is not the norm either. If you lean toward spicy you will be happy. Little touches like poblano mayo on your sandwich or chiles in a dish, it's the bomb. Love their jalapeno cheddar biscuits, more like a corn muffin but yummy. Try the posole stew, lots of good stuff in a broth. The salmon dinner is good too. All high top tables and a very different decor. Kinda goth but not too weird. We are an older couple and liked it. The crowd is mixed ages. Parking lot on same side of street, save your coins, no street meters necessary.

Lovely cod surrounded by beer-batter crunchiness? Sign me up. All that's missing is the newsprint for authenticity.

“Short North Gem”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We hit the Surly Girl Sun. morning @ 1:30am and found great food and great beer. The decor and vibe are very cool and laid back. Service was very good too considering they were still busy but getting ready to close.
