“YUM”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I have been visiting Columbus since the seventies - back then it was rare to get any decent food, much less anything extraordinary. Over the years, I have observed the city transform from a food wasteland to a place that is alive with great culinary options. And Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is one of the great delights that I have found. Their ice creams are known for their unique and inventive flavors, with fresh from the farm ingredients. Though you can go with something like their delicious chocolate, what sets them apart are the specialty flavors. Cardamom lime. Rosemary with bar nuts. Sweet corn with raspberry. Lemon !!!! yogurt with blueberry. Goat cheese with roasted cherry. Many of these are seasonal, or just available for a short time. Many sound kind of weird... those are usually the ones that knock your socks off! That said, the cost is roughly double other premium ice creams. But I have no problem justifying the expense. No problem at all.

“Great experience”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

If you like unique ice cream flavors and are willing to pay a little more for them... this is a great place to visit. The owner is very creative at pairing flavors that you wouldn't normally think of as going together. They appear to have a fairly good local (Columbus, Oh) following and I hear they are slowly opening new stores in other parts of the country.

Every time we visit it is a must to try something different, and we are never disappointed. Mostly locally sourced ingredients, and they are lovely.

“tip - you can ask for a kid-size portion even if not a kid”

Fantastic selection of ice-creams, some frozen yogurts and occasional sorbet (wish there were more of those!). Flavors are really nicely put together, really worth trying.

“As good as the locals brag on it”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

The locals all rave about this place, and well they should. Terrific ice creams, and not all of them super-high-calorie, high-fat. Absolutely worth a trip. (Many of the better restaurants serve Jeni's for dessert as well.)
