If you live in Columbus, Ohio, you're probably a fan of The Ohio State University, not only for what the university offers to students, but also for what OSU has done for Columbus at large. One of the best universities in the nation, it has a sprawling campus that starts just north of the Short North district on North High Street. Drive up North High until you get to the main campus, turn left (around 17th) and then wander. You'll love the Oval, Mirror Lake, and the newly refurbished library. Continue west to see the Horseshoe, the Buckeye's legendary football stadium. Stop by the new student union for lunch. And then cross over the beautiful Lane Avenue bridge as you head for the Schott (basketball arena), the football practice fields, the Jesse Owens track, baseball stadium, etc. It's a fun tour, worth your while if you've never been there.
