“Holy cow, what a gem”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Who'd a guessed that Columbus would have such a classic building housing a wonderful selection of art from around the world? Given I didn't expect much--coming from Chicago's Art Institute--but this had somethings that trumped AIC. Like the free cellphone descriptions, just dial up and listen on your cellphone (we all have those, well most of us.) AND a lovely gift shop. As a group we were given a group concession rate. And more. Don't hesitate to take the time. FREE parking too. AND a fabulous area for kids...better once again than Chicago's Art Institute (that has closed down for years its kid galleries, only now having a room with some computers, puzzles for kids.)

“Sundays are Free”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

The Art Museum is definitely a place you want to take your children, but you might not want to pay the full price. If your children are like mine, they look at art at a roadrunner's pace! So stop in on a Sunday - the museum is free and it doesn't matter how long or how little time you spend there. The basement of the museum has several hands on exhibits for children.

“One Great Museum”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

I really enjoy this museum. They have a really nice Old Masters collection. I could spend hours in this room alone. The building is spacious and the art is tastefully displayed. The people that visit are always respectful and you can wander around for hours. I also enjoy their gift shop - many unique items for sale.

“Family-friendly Art Museum”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

We have been museum members for many years and love to go to this museum. It is attractive inside and outside too. Through the years there has been more of an emphasis on interactive exhibits where visitors can respond to the art personally - this has been a wonderful addition. Also, there are areas for children to work on art-related projects. The permanent collection is quite nice and there are always interesting rotating exhibits. Whether you are a resident of Columbus or a visitor, this is a good attraction.
