Nice location in Grandview where all the locals hang out, wonderful outdoor seating. Pricey though. I had a medium coffee and a piece of (too rich) cinnamon cheesecake...cost $6.90.
They had no soup that visit either.

More of a coffee shop, but we had an excellent, relatively cheap brunch there. Fresh and well prepared. Also a comfortable place to meet friends or just relax.

Great coffee roaster. Very expensive. If you are looking for the best deal in this place get a french press. You can usually get any coffee you want made into a press and its just a little more than a cup of coffee. Always good service and coffee doesn't disappoint.

We're spoiled for good local coffee options in Grandview, with Stauf's, Luck Brothers, and now Grandview Grind. Stauf's is the granddaddy of them all. They're also the mothership of the local Cup O'Joe chain, so if you like COJ, Stauf's is part of the same company.

They roast their own coffee. It's available around town at different restaurants and also beans at stores like Weiland's and Whole Foods. The Grandview shop also sells beans to go, along with an array of fancy coffee brewing supplies. This is where I got my Japanese hand grinder, as an example of what they sell.

The coffee shop side sells a variety of drip and espresso coffee drinks, as well as teas. I'm a fan of their coffee drinks in general. From the basic drip to the fancy iced mocha.

They usually have various desserts and baked goods on offer. Last year they started offering hot foods for breakfast and lunch. They are actually pretty good. But the kitchen can get REALLY backed up on weekends. I went in a few weeks ago, hoping to get lunch after a long bike ride, but there was an hour wait for food.

The atmosphere is kind of 1990s coffeehouse bohemian. Dark wood, wobbly tables, you know. They have outdoor seating, which is nice in good weather to hang out and people-watch on Grandview Ave. It does tend to get very crowded on the weekends, and it's popular with the laptop hobo crowd. So more than once I've tried to go to Stauf's on a weekend afternoon and given up for want of a place to sit.

I've heard people complain that the staff aren't that friendly, but I've honestly never found that. It's busy most of the time, so they maybe aren't as chatty as at some coffeehouses. But I don't find them unfriendly.

I live in the neighborhood, so I typically walk or bike to Stauf's, but it is true that parking can be hard to find on Grandview Ave. There is a large, albeit tight and awkward lot behind the store. And keep in mind if you park at the meters north of Third, they are in the city of Columbus, not Grandview Heights, so they run until 10pm M-Sat.
