Description: This iconic German Village restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate with family and friends. For five generations we have been serving authentic German food. Our sausage has become so famous that the Bahama Mama has been voted the official food of Columbus and the building is registered as a historic landmark. Come take a trip around our Autobahn Buffet or, if you want something other than sausage, try one of our traditional German dinners. Of course, for dessert, you can have one of our half-pound jumbo cream puffs. Stop in today and celebrate with us!

“Always a treat.”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

We headed here with friends at the start of the New Year, food as always did not disappoint! Certainly a place worth the wait. The Apple Sauce and Potato Pancakes taste great as a side to any meal!

“Very good sausage house”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Great sausage in German Village. Been going there for years. Decor is pretty basic but the sausage and German sides are great. Cream puffs for dessert are not to be missed. Great old school place.

“Average, Why the big crowds?”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Went for the lunch buffet, 11 am and bustling busy. Waitress quickly said dinner buffet for $15 included the chicken & dessert. That was the only buffet option "for lunch". Sounded good. Good things: Grilled sausages, bratwurst, mashed potatoes, red cabbage. Bad things: CHICKEN, bad... very bad, re-heated, days old fried chicken. potato soup, German potato salad, Sausage Stew? (left-overs in stew form) Mac & Cheese not good, salad bar not good, commercial salad dressings. Enough... If we return, we will order off the menu and avoid the hoards of buffet diners that were scarfing down the chicken and rating it 5 stars. Note to Chef/owners... Have a mystery diner order the buffet and evaluate the quality of the food. And no (included) dessert as the waitress mentioned.

“Must try!”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

If you're a fan of German food, this is a "must try" restaurant in Columbus! Seating is a little close, and they're usually crowded, but the service is excellent and the food is unbelievable. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the overall experience is top notch. Try the cream puffs for desert, you won't regret it.

“Living on their reputation”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

This is a good place to eat. BUT they are living on their past reputation. The quality of their food slipped a lot. During the Lunch Hour they get packed. You end of waiting about 15-20 minutes waiting for a table.
