The best mexican food in Columbus, no questions asked, there are 2 locations, one on sawmill and one on polaris.

The spicy ground beef is the best - if you don't like spicy you'll probably want to pass but the flavor and kick to the spicy ground beef is so wonderful.

Columbus, Ohio has many Mexican restaurants, but this one has the freshest food, and really stands out. It is small, and there may be a wait, but it is worth it. Not greasy, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh, and not overcooked. Plus, we just discovered the owner makes Mexican food for the homeless folks in the tent cities Great place, great people. We will support this place for a long time.

We had initially considered ordering carry out from this restaurant but found that chips/salsa weren't included.... they charge $3-8 for salsa only....chips extra! :-( So, we opted for dining in. The food was marginal and very over priced ($11 for 2 enchiladas) and we had to go in search of our waiter for salsa. He then returned with a baby jar size serving. With this being said, I would not recommend this restaurant.

We both enjoyed our dinners at Chile Verde. They have a unique BBQ sauce that's good. Our server was excellent -- prompt, very friendly, and attentive but not overbearing. She even got us a sample of the BBQ sauce so we could see if we liked it. They also brought us two kinds of salsa. My only complaint is that the chips were VERY greasy; I've never had such greasy chips before. Also, the restroom must be a one-seater, because the door was locked and I waited about 5 minutes to use it but finally gave up.

We visited the new Chili Verde facility on Monday 1/21 around 4 pm
Had cheese dip, excellent salsa, and great pepper pinto beans.
All the entrees were hot, tasty, and properly season. One in the party had a margarita. Well made, tasty, and at $8.50 not overpriced.
The food and drinks here are of very high quality. A much better value than Cantina Laredo just down the street.
Our waitress Isabel did a great job, was very friendly and was very attentive to our needs.
I will go back again.
A great place for high quality food, drinks, and service.
