“The Ohio State Fair is always a blast”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

The site is easy to get to and this site is home to many events throughout the year. The fair is always a great time. The location is surrounded by more sketchy areas but you're safe at most all events because there are usually tons of state highway patrol officers on duty.

If you're looking to attend, enjoy the day and rest assured that parking is ample and it's easy to get in and out of.

“Timing is everything”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

We love the State Fair, but we usually end up there on the hottest day of the summer... weather can be fickle, so we plan around it - if it's raining or extremely hot, we spend more time inside than out.

Some tips: check the fair website beforehand and see what discounts are offered. We bought a ride wristband voucher at Kroger before the fair opened and saved $3. Then we went on buy-on-get-one-free day, so both kids got to ride unlimited rides for $20. We also went on the day when children got in free and adults got in for children's price, so we saved quite a bit there. It was crowded but not nasty.

“Fun for a day”

We enjoyed the many food offerings. Milkshake from the dairy barn was excellent. Make sure to check the times for the many free shows that happen on the midway.

“Huge, runs until 8/4, Some Freebees U May Miss”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

If you havent been to the fair you really should go. The fairgrounds are huge. We went on opening day and it never felt crowded. Almost every day they offer discounted admission tickets. If not, go to kroger, tickets are cheaper there than at the gate. There are tons of freebees, the plasterers are showing off their talent and anything they make is free to take. We got a plaster mold of the OSU Shoe. By a wristband for the kids for $20 and they can go on the rides as much as they want. Beats individual ride tickets. Go to the Agricultural building and get your free family photo by Nationwide insurance. Bob evans also has a booth in the AG building, you can get free kid meal coupons. Spin and win the AAA wheel and you can win memberships. We won a rechargable flashlight, really cool as it never needs batteries. If any of this helped you, click yes below.
