If your dog needs plenty of exercise, this is the place to go. It's really a hidden gem. Lots of people have heard abut it; they've just never been. Plenty of fields to exercise your dog, and Columbus still doesn't have a leash law for this park. A wonderful walk, though, is along the creek, into the woods. If you don't mind your dog getting wet, it's a blast. And the best part? The actual Park of Roses is beautiful when the roses are in bloom. A photographer's delight, lots of weddings and receptions at the shelter house. Another fun walk with your dog is from the main parking lot down to the river. (Just watch out for the folks on the bike path!) Remember to take a couple of towels in your car. Enjoy your visit. Fido will love you.

We've been to the park several times. It is lovely.

The play area has always been very crowded, but the patrons have always been respectful.

The rose garden is not overrun with people except at peek times, but it is generally busy.

Be aware that patrons drequently come with their pets. If your dog doesn't like other dogs it might be a little rough.

It is a venue for play and beauty. There is always a lot of activity and it has good walking paths, a community center and lots of roses.

Nice park and I bet it looks great when the roses are in full bloom. We were her Memorial Day Weekend and I think we missed the blooming roses by 1-2 weeks. It is a nicely arranged park and a place that you can walk or just sit and study/read. Great concept.
