The museum is not heavily advertised but it is a gem. They have an education area in the back but we didn't get to excerience much of that. They even have a little play area.

We visited the fire musuem with my daughter's preschool class. Being from Columbus, not sure how i had never been before!
My 5yo daughter seemed interested and had fun answering the firefighter's questions and playing in the big firetruck.
It was fun for my 5yo daughter...but honestly too much for my 2yo daughter. Suit was too scary, not being able to touch or climb o some of the older exibits was a bit of a pain trying to explain that to a 2 yo and take her outside to take her oit of the situation (tantrum).
I enjoyed the history of the building and equipment, which the kids clearly were too young to understand.
Overall it was fun, seemed like a good value but i dont think i would take any child younger than 3 or 4. I also dont think i would go more than once unless o had a child really into firefighters or fire trucks. It was small, probably 1.5 hours tops and would be a good option if your already going to be in the neighborhood.

The museum is set up very nice, with a lot of things and exhibits to see. Good way to learn a little about the history of the fire department and great way to teach kids about fire safety. Definitely worth spending some time looking around.

Great place for young kids!! my son adored this place when he was 3-4'ish. They can dress up and sit in a fire truck simulator. The people who manage the museum are very nice, too. It's also educational and shows them what happens when a room catches on fiire.
