Owner description: Trail along the river for bikers and runners.
Reviewed May 28, 2012

This is a fantastic trail. I was visiting relatives recently who live nearby and entered near the northern end. The trail is paved, well-marked (with directional signs as well as spray-painted warnings about bumps from roots), and often shaded. Although it was Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, the trail wasn't crowded--perhaps because of the high heat. Most of the trail has very little incline. The exception is near bridges when inclines can be significant. The trail passes near many parks (some of which have water fountains), through wetlands associated with Ohio State's main campus, runs along a river, and into Downtown. Benches are numerous and provide a nice respite for walkers, bikers, roller-bladers, and families pulling wagons. The trail uses very few roads, but, again, those used are well-marked for bikers and quite safe. It must be a treat to live near this treasure.

I use this path for exercise and for transportation. There are many beautiful parklands along the path's length. It runs from Worthington through downtown and into the Brewery District. It also connects to the Scioto and I-670 paths. It's well maintained and highly utilized. If you want the path more to yourself avoid weekends and summer evenings.
