We have been to DeepWood many times over the years and have enjoyed our dining experience every single time. From Dining Originals Week, Restaurant Week, Farm to Table Week, Gallery Hop, and just a Saturday night in March, every meal has been wonderful. Four of us were planning to get together for dinner last Saturday night. DeepWood was the first pick as two of my friends were craving the Scallop Wellington appetizer, which is one of the best dishes in Columbus. We were promptly seated, and the excellent dining experience started. We started with a delicious amuse bouche featuring beef carpaccio. Appetizers were spot on, especially the Scallop Wellington. Dinners included the Boar Chops, Filet Mignon, and two ordered the Black Cod, which we were told was flown in from Alaska that morning. All dishes were amazing! The bread service offers homemade flat bread, white bread, and a date bread, and all of us asked for seconds of at least one offering. Being quite full from dinner, we asked for just a taste of dessert, their homemade Heath Bars. Absolutely Amazing! Every time we have out of town guests, we bring them to DeepWood. Service is always spot on! The wine list is reasonably priced, and we have found some fantastic wines on the menu! However, if a wine flight or a pairing is available, go for that option. We've never gone wrong with the wine pairing, especially during a special tasting menu or restaurant week! Cannot wait for my next visit to DeepWood!
