“Cool overnight”
Reviewed December 21, 2011

Good group of period actors on board. The expierence starts from the moment you go out to the ship to get on board. Visited with a scout group and stayed overnight on deck. You have to earn your keep by doing chores like cleaning the deck. You also get to climb the rigging.

“Very interesting and fun”
Reviewed August 14, 2011

Decided to add this tour to our day trip to Columbus. The boat was moored at Battelle Riverfront Park. You cannot see it from Marconi Blvd and the easiest parking is on the street right in front of the park.
Once we got down to the ship, the tour was reasonably priced and well worth it. We were able to walk down into the ship and up to the captain's cabin. The tour guide was very informative and well aware of the needs of children on the tour. He allowed each kid to participate in some aspect of the tour. My 7 1/2 year old was able to assist the tour guide in demonstrating how the cannon would have been loaded and fired.
One word of caution...the stairs down into the ship and the ladder steps up to the captain's cabin are somewhat challenging so I would not recommend this tour for anyone who cannot climb steps or is uncomfortable with heights.
Another neat feature about this tour is that once the organized tour is over, we were welcome to walk around the ship as long as we chose to. We took advantage of the offer and took our time and explored the ship. It was a lot of fun!

“Decent but not great”
Reviewed August 2, 2011

I found the guided tour to be somewhat interesting and the actual ship is intriguing as well if only because it makes you think how the sailors would sail for months on end in such small quarters. Generally the overall visit was ok, but I thought the price although not expensive was still too much for what they offer. Basically this is a small ship (but apparently a good replica) with a guided tour.

“Most Interesting!”
Reviewed May 10, 2008

This is absolutely worth visiting. I was surprised at how accurately the ship had been reconstructed, and how meagerly the crew had to live. Getting across an ocean on this? Could not have been a fun experience!

Anyone interested in history would surely like this tour.
