“Nice atmosphere and good high end bar”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

We met up at this place for a drink and some apetisers at the bar. It had a modern, upscale atmosphere that is slightly more traditional compaired to some of the other places in the area. Very nice, good food, good drinks, and friends service. Just an fyi there was a tv but not a great place to catch a game or anthing like that.

“Whether for date night or a business dinner, Z Cucina always delivers!”
Reviewed January 20, 2012

Z is perfect for a cozy date night escape from the wintry Columbus weather. We love the ambiance and the owner is very attentive. Great customer service can be a rare find these days, so go check out this place and you will not be disappointed!

I also planed a recent business dinner here and we had the best time. My client thought the food was excellent!

Another nice touch is that they offer a few dishes that are vegetarian. Very thoughtful!

“What more could you ask-entertaining and great food?”
Reviewed November 1, 2011

The driver of the car several of us were in stopped directly in front of the door to let us out. A gentleman came out and welcomed us, and when the driver said he was going to park, he was told it was OK to park there. It turned out our "greeter" was the owner, who came by our table several times, and was sincerely interested that we have a good evening. That was the positive beginning of a wonderful evening and terrific food. For me, one of my peculiarities when eating at a nice restaurant is the bread served. It can be a deal-breaker if not of high quality. At Z Cucina, it is outstanding. The menu is not huge, as in many Italian restaurants, but varied and well chosen. Among us, we had an herb roasted chicken dish, saltimboca, a pizza of squash, pesto and crispy leeks, lasagna, and braised short ribs. Each was wonderfully prepared and presented. Wine might be considered a little on the high side, (not nearly as excessive as some places,) but there are a number of nice wines that are also available by the glass. Service is well timed and is everything one would expect at a nice restaurant. Grandview, where the restaurant is located, is interesting and exciting. You won't be disappointed.

“Nice venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner”
Reviewed September 30, 2010

We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner for 37 people here in July.
Everything was topnotch: food, service, and setting. The manager Rick was friendly and helpful. A few of us had a tasting dinner there in May. We selected hors d' oeuvres, salad, entrees, desserts, and wines. Our rehearsal dinner was situated in the main room of the restaurant (there is a smaller area by the bar, and some outside tables). The wait staff were tremendous. The restaurant has optional valet parking, which we used for the rehearsal dinner guests. Rick setup a screen in a corner of the room, where we projected a musical slide show of the bride and groom growing up. Note you need to bring external speakers, as the restaurant noise overpowered our laptop speakers.

“Ordinary Trying for Greatness”
Reviewed August 26, 2009

The food is dependably good. The clientele startling average, with aspirations. The staff is overly friendly with casualness, crossing my personal boundary. But it’s the kind of attention some people enjoy. They know their food and beverages, but tend to over-explain without recognizing the subtle clues regarding the level of interest or knowledge of the patron. No place I would suggest, but have accepted invitations there three time.
